A partir do estudo de catálogos de exposição evidentemente institucionais segundo as relações que produzem dentro da biblioteca, introduz o conceito/provocação pintura para catálogos e verifica sua possibilidade retomando a discussão da arte como fotografia, negligenciada em seu surto mais universal. A partir da pintura fotografada e da percepção de que o museu sucumbe a um vetor de valores cuja ponta é o valor de arquivamento, busca determinar as características da nova relação da arte com seu arquivo em nossa era digital, problematizando tal relação segundo dialéticas não conciliatórias inspiradas em Benjamin, sempre procurando a perspectiva da reanimação ante a reificação – no que obtém apenas sucesso parcial. Para isso, operacionaliza o conceito de museu imaginário de Malraux, defendendo-o ante as críticas de Crimp, transportando-o para o tempo presente, aguçando sua dubiedade e retrabalhando as noções de ressurreição e recriação fotográfica para propor uma pauta de engajamento que consiste em seguir-produzindo (conceito derivado de Foster) uma arte caracterizada pela difusão (metáfora luminosa) e pela diminuição (conceito derivado de Benjamin). Tal produção é marcada pela possibilidade de uma dupla substituição concomitante a um duplo registro da obra de arte, o que torna a distinção entre original e cópia desimportante e até indesejável, visto que a defesa dos “valores do original” geralmente garante o livre movimento do poder-saber em espaços diagramáticos identificados como fábricas de catálogo. Para sondar o funcionamento dessas fábricas e propor escapes, constrói outra definição de catálogo baseada no conceito de arquivo, segundo as concepções de Derrida e Foucault, e busca alternativas de uso. Explicita, então, essas questões no contexto artístico de Belo Horizonte, recorrendo a alguns “textos de artista” marcados pela informalidade.
