Meteosat 3rd generation (MTG) scan mechanism
SENER is responsible for the design,
manufacturing, integration, test and delivery of
two critical elements of the Meteosat Third
Generation (MTG) sub-system:
• Both FCI and IR (SCA) scan instrument
mechanisms, and corresponding calibration
and shutter mechanisms (COM).
The scan mechanisms designed and delivered by
SENER for MTG are the state-of-the-art in terms
of performance both being mission critical and
providing sweep scanned high-definition images
thus eliminating the need of the satellite
permanent spin present in MSG.

MGAMA & HGA-APA antenna for Bepi Colombo satellite
SENER’s responsibilities entail the design,
manufacturing, integration, and test of the
medium-gain antenna (MGAMA) and high-gain
antenna pointing mechanism (HGA-APA) of the
mercury planetary orbiter (MPO) communications
system.
Both antenna and mechanism are crucial to
guarantee satellite-Earth communications and
also to support the Radio-Science experiment
aboard the spacecraft.

SEOSat / INGENIO optical instrument
SEOSat’s optical instrument is a high-resolution,
wide-trace, worldwide coverage image capturing
unit (VIS, NIR and RGB) optimized for the
systematic acquisition of images of the Spanish
territory with minimum re-visit times.
The optical instrument is the primary payload of
the mission and SENER is responsible for the
design manufacturing, integration, alignment,
and test of the unit.

AB-212 modernization
SENER leads the engineering and design facets of the
Agusta Bell AB-212 helicopter life extension program of
the Spanish Navy.
The program will enable to extend the life of the
helicopters for at least 15 years, incorporating in the
process the latest technologies in:
• Avionics and communications: Glass Cockpit (EFIS),
EICAS and COMM/NAV
• Mission systems: Mission tactical computer (MTC),
radar, AIS, electrical hoist, anti-crash seats, Gatling
gun, armor, MAWS, EO/IR sensor and GPS
• Electrical system upgrade: Power generation and
distribution, including complete rewiring Courtesy of the Spanish Navy

(COMINT)
SENER has accumulated relevant experience in
COMINT electronic warfare (EW) technologies since
1997.
Co-financed by the Ministry of Defense, SENER is
currently developing a family of sensors (U/V/HF
Receivers and Radio Goniometers) which will
provide national state-of-the-art operational
capabilities to the country.
SENER is the reference company for the future
Spanish COMINT system, as a part of a much
broader three-service SIGINT Join Program
(Santiago II).

AIP propulsion systems for submarines
Air independent propulsion (AIP) systems allow
submarines to remain underwater for longer
periods of time than purely conventional ones.
SENER, in collaboration with tkMS, has developed
a methanol reformer based AIP system. The
methanol cracking in the reformer supplies the
hydrogen on board which is fed, along the
oxygen, into a fuel cell. The fuel cell provides
the vessel with electrical power for charging the
batteries for propulsion and systems.

Pipeline 48" in diameter, with a distance of 117 km to receive 1,000 MMSCFD.
It has two stations called Frontera and Los Ramones who have area of pig
launcher and receiver, metering skid, separators and coalescer filters. Gas will
arrive at the station the existing Ramones of Pemex, which in turn is
distributed to Monterrey and the station known as Los Indios. The pressure
will be from the USA and will flow the gas without compression.
