Farmer’s Analysis/Explanation SRI trial obtained better growth performance and yield as compared to the farmer’s practice because of the following: ,[object Object],b) Wider spacing facilitates deeper penetration of sunlight into the rice plant canopy. c) Soil cracking allows more development of the roots. d) Lesser crop-weed competition because of the numerous weedings. e) Soil cracks causes accumulation of top soil.
