Las tareas,como acontece con todomedio,estaránsubordinadasaunobjetivogeneral.En
este caso,la metaque se persigue esconseguirque cadapersonase autorrealice cuantosea
posible,contandoconsuscualidadesysucapacidadpara servira losdemás.
Quienhaaprendidoaaprenderestaráencondicionesde responsabilizarse de supropiavida:
éstaes lamisiónde lospadresrespectoasus hijos.
Para concretar el mínimonormativo,enlapráctica podemosdividirlavidadiariaendistintos
sectores.Algunasde estas áreasse referiránprincipalmentealasrelacioneshumanas,en
tanto que otras se referiránal adiestramiento.Tomemoscomoejemplolastareasdomésticas:
cada miembrode lafamiliatendráalgunatareaque cumplir;lasmadres,seguramente,
tendránmayores obligacionesque losdemás.Sinembargo,si el ambiente físico(limpieza,
orden,etc.) estáal serviciode todos,conviene que cadapersonaaporte algoeneste aspecto.
Si realizamostareaseducativasyenseñamosacumplirbienestastareas,entoncesestaremos
consiguiendounaserie de objetivos:
1. El adiestramientonecesarioparaque loshijoslogrensermásautónomosdespués(por
ejemplo, asignándoleslatareade reparar un aparatoelectrónico).
2. El desarrollode lacapacidadde serviralos demásy,por tanto,de seruna familiaunida.
3. Saber realizaruntrabajobienhecho,etc.
Otra área serála correspondiente al dinero.Aquí,nuestroobjetivopuede ser,porejemplo,
que losmuchachosaprendana ganar, a gastar y a ahorrar el dinero.Encada momentoycon
cada uno de losmiembrosde lafamiliase estableceráunmínimonormativo.Se entiende que
eneste renglónlosniñosmenoresestaránsometidosaunamayor normatividadque los
adolescentes,quienestendránal respectomayorautonomía.Sinembargo, enunniño
pequeñolanormatividadse aplicaráaun númeromenorde tareas;por ejemplo,alostrabajos
que sus maestrosle pidenque hagaencasa.
Las reglasdel juegoque se establezcanseránpocas:lasimprescindiblesparaconseguirlos
objetivospropuestos.Éstosincluirán, serunafamiliaunidayfeliz.Porlomismo,se entiende
que una parte de ese mínimonormativonose modificaráconsiderablementedebidoalas
diferentesedadesde loshijos.Porejemplo,todosdebenllegaracomer a la hora prevista o
prepararsu propiacomida;todoslimpiaránsuspropioszapatos;todosavisaránencaso de no
poderregresara casa a la horaprevista,etc.

Que loshijosaceptenycumplancon estasnormasdependeráprincipalmentedel modode
establecerlasyde exigírselas.
Proyectofamiliar
"Noes éstala familiaque yosoñaba,lafamiliaque yoquería",decíauna madre,pesarosa,en
su consultaa un orientadorfamiliar.Ellahabíaforjadounproyectode familia,perosu
realizaciónconcreta,veintitantosañosdespués,nocoincidía,ni de lejos,conel acariciado
proyecto.
Muchas vecesel padre o la madre tendránque elaborarsuproyectoprescindiendodel otro,
peroaún así si ha de formularciertoplande vidafamiliar.
En un noviazgobienfundado,que incluyaconversacionesafondo,enlasque se examinenuno
a uno losrespectivosenfoquesde lavida,se podríadiseñarunproyectofamiliarcomún,que
tomara encuentalo fundamental conobjetode prevenirloscasosde cónyuges(conlosque se
encuentraa menudoel orientadorfamiliarensuconsulta) conproyectostotalmente opuestos
o contradictorios.Entodocaso, loscónyuges,yluegolospadres,necesitanforjarproyectosa
la manerade arbolitosde futuro,que hundensusraícesenlos mejoresrecuerdos.
Proyectoscomunes
En losproyectoscomunesnose improvisa.Losplaneshande serpreviamente analizados,
elegidosyqueridos.Tambiénhabráque seleccionarlosmediospararealizarlos.
Los padresinfluyennosóloenel éxitodel proyectofamiliar,ellosson,asimismo,losprimeros
responsablesde suejecución.
En algunaocasiónhemosescuchadoa algúnconferenciante deciralospadres:"Ustedestienen
la familiaque merecen".
Otras veces,másacertadamente,lesdecíalomismo,peroreferidoal futuro:"Ustedes,
tendránla familiaque merezcan".
Semejante afirmaciónnoesestrictamente verdadera,porqueotrosfactoresajenosala
voluntadde lospadresinfluyenvigorosaynegativamente enlaconductade loshijos,además
de losfamiliares,amigosymaestrosque sonlossegundosresponsables,e inclusolossegundos
educadoresde losniñosylosjóvenes.
La familiaeseducadoraporque lospadressonlainfluenciamáspoderosaparasushijos.
Los padres,si quieren,puedeninfluirmuchosiempreque nopretendanhacerlotodoy
siempre que noseanunospadressatisfechosporloque tienen,porloque hacenopor loque
son,enlugar de ser padresoptimistasque buscanincansablemente lasuperación.
Antesde fundaruna familia,losnoviosdeberíanpensarenlacomplementariedadcultural;la
que corresponde aellosdos,que serálade susfuturoshijos,yenla que se fusionaránsus
respectivasraícesfamiliares.Másadelante decidiránloque quieran,peroantesdebensopesar
estascuestiones.
