and others.

PART I – GENERAL INFORMATION
Arrival date: February 13th 2016

The In-Service Training will last for 7 days (including travel days)

3. Objectives
Thanks to this project the participants will:
- Achieve a better knowledge about the most common problems based on the use of Internet
based resources: social nets, communication resources (what’s up), online games, etc.
- Improve skills and competences in methods and techniques for preventing and/or combating
those problems: cyberbullying, sexting, grooming, phishing, etc.
- Share experience about Internet resources related problems.
- Update their knowledge on the reality and the relevance of the social nets as well as on the
most important challenges for teachers, educators and parents.
- Make contacts with individuals and organisations with similar experience and exchange best
practices
4. Methodology
The course is designed as an interactive process with emphasis on establishing a mentor relationship
between participants and trainer. It will be held through non formal education methods, discussions,
individual activities and group works, interactive games, presentations, brainstorming sessions, case
studies and best practices sharing in order to achieve the objectives set up and contribute to the

further project development of its later stages. The focus is on experiential learning and workshop
approach.
The participants will also receive a workbook with session’s summaries and descriptions of activities
carried out. They will be recommended related literature for further study.
5. Profile of participants
The participants selected for attending the international training course in Vigo should have the
following profiles:
Be actively involved in their sending organization and motivated to be involved in the training
course
Being able to disseminate the information regarding the project in their schools, be ready to
undertake follow up actions and act as multipliers of the gained knowledge later on
Be fully able to use English language with working proficiency
Being able to attend the full training course duration
Being prepared for an interim evaluation and the final evaluation at the end of the course.

Delegate 5 minutes presentations: One of the main goals of the course is to connect among each
other. In order to achieve this goal we kindly ask you to prepare a brief 5 minutes presentation. Here
are some guidelines that might help you:

- Mention some interesting projects you work on
- During the first day share with us your goals and objectives regarding this course.
Please bring a laptop with you since you may need it during the working process.
7. Hosting organization
The IES Ribeira Do Louro (IESRdL) is a public education school which provides general education,
adult education and vocational training courses in different levels. It is located in Porriño
(Pontevedra) in the southwest of Spain, next to Vigo. IESRdL has approximately 700 students and 80
teachers.
The school has a big experience in the coordination of European Union research and mobility projects.
IESRdL has participated in different projects under Eramus+ Programme and the former Lifelong

Learning Programme, Interreg and other national and international projects. IES RdL has also been
actively involved in mobility projects since 1996, both as host and sending organisation.
The group of trainers in charge of giving the course will be built with experienced professionals with
complementary skills in the topic of the project.
PART II – PRACTICAL INFORMATION REGARDING THE TRAINING COURSE
1. Course Venue: The course is expected to be implemented in:
Centro Formación Profesional Daniel Castelao
R/García Barbón, 48-50, 36200 (Vigo – Pontevedra)
However, host organization reserves the right to finally select another venue. In any case, the venue
will be located in the city centre or host organization will provide transport or bus ticked to reach the
venue.
2. Travel information and directions
Please, remember to keep all your travel tickets and invoices since all documents will be
needed for the reimbursement process!
To reach Vigo you can take a flight to one of the following airports:
1) Vigo Airport (Peinador): it is located only ten minutes from the city centre. Once you have landed,
you can take a taxi or bus to the city centre.

2) Santiago de Compostela airport (Labacolla). It is located approximately 100 km. from Vigo and you
can take then a bus or train to reach Vigo. Santiago is the biggest airport in Galicia and has direct
connection flights with different European cities.

3) Porto airport (Aeroporto Sa Carneiro). Located in the city of Porto, in Portugal, is approximately
125 km. far from Vigo. Porto airport has direct connection flights with a number of European cities.
There are direct buses from Porto Airport to Vigo city centre.

IES Ribeira do Louro will make the booking for your stay during the training course.
Your hotel is located in Vigo city centre, and their facilities include restaurant, conference rooms and
Internet connection. Host organization will book for you a standard single room with private
bathroom. Should you wish to book another type of room, please, contact host organization
previously to the course.
4. Meals
You will be provided with 3 daily meals, which will be taken in different restaurants of the city and
surroundings. Host partner will also ensure coffee breaks during the learning sessions. Should you

require any specific diet or have some limitations regarding meals, we kindly ask you to specify it
prior to the course implementation.
5. Transportations inside the city
Information about local transportation can be found on: www.vitrasa.es
Local transportations should be managed on your own. However, the course venue will be placed at
walking distance from the hotel or the host organization will bear the cost of the transport of
participants for the learning sessions.
