2. PRESENTE SIMPLE – (SIMPLE
PRESENT)
El Presente Simple es un tiempo verbal que se utiliza para describir acciones
habituales que suceden con cierta frecuencia y no hace referencia a si está
ocurriendo en el momento actual.
Tiene la estructura:
SUJETO + VERBO (en infinitivo sin “to”)
Se debe tener en cuenta que :
Si el sujeto es 3ª persona del singular se le añade una "-s" al verbo.
POSITIVO: I live In México city
NEGATIVO: I don´t live in Mexico city
INTERROGATIVO: Do I live in Mexico city? -YES, I do
-NO, I don´t

3. CASO ESPECIAL: "-ES" EN LUGAR DE "-S" PARA LA 3ª PERSONA
Para los verbos acabados en "-o","-sh", "-ch" , "-ss", "-x" , "-z", "-y" se añade "-es"
en la 3ª persona del singular en lugar de "-s".
Adicionalmente, los verbos acabados en "-y" cuando la "y" no sea precedida de una
vocal. Forman la tercera persona en "-ies".
