1. The branch office in the Dominican Republic . We left here for Haiti on Friday, February 19, at 5:30 in the morning ドミニケンリパブリクのエホバの証人の支局です。私達は２月１９日で５：３０午前にハイチに出発しました。

2. We stopped at the missionary house in Azua for breakfast and to take two missionaries with us. 朝ご飯食べると二人宣教者連れて行ってためにこのアズア市宣教者の家に到着しました。

3. With the two missionary couples (the brother who is standing and his wife on the left, and the couple sitting at the center back ). These missionaries have done, and are still doing, a lot to help Haitian brothers who came here for health care. Lots of heart-rending and heart-warming accounts . . . 左と間中触っている二人兄弟姉妹達は宣教者です。この兄弟姉妹達はハイチ兄弟姉妹達に健康助ける事を上げます。

4. From left : an interested person who was transported to the DR for an operation on his left leg and were we now bringing back to Haiti, his fleshly brother, and two MTS graduates from Guadeloupe helping out here in Azua in the Haitian field 左から研究生、研究生のお兄さん、右の二人はグアデルペ国の奉仕の僕学校の兄弟達です。彼らの責任はアズアのハイチ奉仕区域です。研究生の足直すために外科手術がありました。

5. Preparing from departure. With us was a nurse from the US volunteered his services for two weeks and came with us to Haiti; here in his uniform 週発の準備時です。緑服つけている兄弟は看護婦です。アメリカから来ましたと二週間で一緒にハイチ行って、兄弟達に助けります。

6. The interested person travels . . . business class. He can’t bend his operated leg; his thigh bone was crushed and now totally replaced by a metal bar. He may never be able to use his leg; still he told us smiling how happy he is to be alive . 研究生は１ｓｔクラスで乗ります。 ( 笑）地震から彼の 腰のほね はおしつぶすになったと 足も動く事を出来ない。腰を直すために腰にメタルバーを受けました。その足はずっと使われないかもしれないけど、微笑んでいったと「生きている良かった」と言いました。

7. The best passports to get into Haiti . . . ハイチに入るためにこれは一番良いパスポートです。 ( 笑）

9. We overtook a long convoy of Canadian military vehicles このカナダ軍の車前に運転しました。

10. Evidence of the disaster appears long before reaching Port-au-Prince ポートアウプリンスまだ到着しませんでしたが、地震から大災害の証拠をあらわれる。

11. We reach Haiti Branch. John Goode ( www.thomazeau.org ) is among the first to welcome us 。ついにハイチの 支局に到着します。ジオングード兄弟は私達に挨拶とよこそうします。

12. A big tent has been set up in the yard for the relief supplies. During the first few weeks, all Bethel family helped here, even translators 外で大きいテントの中に救援物資があります。ハイチのべテル家族皆さんはこの 救援物資を準備してために助かった。

13. Relief supplies were sent from all over the world 様々の国から 救援物資を貰った。

14. After we have something to eat, the brothers took us down town. Although a lot of debris has already been cleaned up, there is a lot to be done 食事の後に兄弟達は私達にハイチのダウンタウンにつれて行った。沢山がれきをそじしましたけど、まだいっぱい直す仕事が必要です。

17. The innumerable tents set up in every available open space in Port-au-prince are telltale signs of the extent of the disaster 人達は沢山のテントに住んでいます。地震の大災害けはいです。

23. Despite all, life goes on . . . 大災害ありましたけど、生活を続ける。。。

24. Many are still afraid to sleep in their homes opting for the safety of a tent. Criminals find a lot of opportunity to loot or rob. During the first night, with many people sleeping out in the street amidst their rescued possessions, criminals shouted “tsunami coming!” and stole hastily abandoned food and valuables 人達は怖いだからテントに住んでる。犯罪者は多いです。大災害の後、あの夜、テントに住んでいる人達に犯罪者達は「つなみ来るんだよ！」言った、皆さん逃げた、犯罪者達はテントの中の物をぬすむ。

30. Almost all houses located on the slope seen at the back collapsed 後ろの所で、それぞれの家は全部を倒れた。

40. Everywhere people are seen gathering cement blocks, bricks, or anything they can use from the debris to rebuild their houses どこでも行っても家を直すためにがれきの中で使う物を探しています。

42. The big cathedral of the city collapsed 都市の大聖堂も倒れた。

43. The presidential palace is in tatters 大統領場所も倒れった。

44. Used to be the city’s pride and joy . . . ハイチの人達はこの場所をほこりにしました。

46. Over the weekend the brothers had their circuit assembly. After the end of the regular program, Bro. Splane gave a very encouraging talk. In addition to this circuit, all brothers who had lost loved ones in the earthquake were invited to attend the talk １週間の後に地域大会がありました。大会の仏プログラム後にアメリカのベテルから来ましたスプライン兄弟はとても励まされた話を上げた。地震でなくなった人がある兄弟姉妹達にもこの話すを聞こえるために招待しました。
