3. The name Imeka means ideas with meaning. That is, ideas with purpose and application. Imeka is also a modern take on Eureka, the legend of Archimedes (see next page) By coincidence, Imeka backwards is Akemi, a Japanese girl’s name
4. Eureka, I have found it A king in ancient Greece suspected that the crown he had ordered was not of pure gold. He asked Archimedes (287-212 BC) a Greek mathematician to find a way to measure the crown. The solution came to him when he stepped into a bath and saw the water overflowing. By measuring the water that runs over when an object is put into it, one can measure the objects weight, he concluded. Archimedes ran naked through the streets shouting ‘eureka, I have found it’.
