2. FLOODS IN PAKISTAN 2010 The recent floods in Pakistan have caused horrific damages to 25% of the country. Millions of people have been affected by the worst monsoon floods in our history. Colossal loss of homes, businesses, crops, and lives have been reported. An estimated 1,600 people are dead, 3.5 million children are at high risk from deadly water-borne diseases, and more than 20 million people have lost their shelters, their food, and have no sanitation.

3. FLOOD RELIEF OPERATION(STRATEGY / AIM) Realizing the magnitude of the natural calamity and the indescribable losses suffered by the poor people of the country, the Management of SSGC has risen to the occasion and as always, decided to reach out to the anguished people in their time of crises. The Managing Director of SSGC called an emergent MCM in which he expounded the main features of the Relief effort and how it should be conducted. Different departments of SSGC was tasked to plan Flood Relief Operation and dispatch relief goods to the affected people of Sindh & Balochistan. Managing Director has further instructed that the relief operation should be in an organized manner and in the minimum possible time. Within no time, SSGC geared all its efforts & resources to comply with Management’s instruction & continued day & night to carry out this Flood Relief Operation on war footing basis in a most organized and economical manner.

5. RELIEF GOODS - 8000 FOOD BOXES All Relief Goods Items have been purchased from Canteen Store Department (CSD) , which is a Govt/Army run organization. Each Food Box Contains: 2 Bottles 1.5 Ltr Mineral Water 4 pkts Juices Packet Biscuit 1 kg Nido Dry Milk Powder 2 kg Dates 1 kg Roasted Chana Besides these food boxes, SSGC is distributing 40-50 daigs of Biryani on daily basis per location

9. EMERGENCY MEDICAL CAMP AT SHIKARPUR Emergency Field Medical Camp was activated at Shikarpur thru SSGC Doctors. Emergency Medical Supplies Procured & Dispatch for Flood Victims at Shikarpur. Thousands of Patients have been attended till to date.
