Waterfall model is used to describe different phases of the project, e.g. planning, design, application engineering, manufacture and delivery, testing and commissioning, transfer of technology and training. <br />User manuals, help files and customization manuals are provided for SAP implementation as well as different hardware and software platforms used in DMRC Ltd.<br />Important Databases:<br />SAP is used extensively in DMRC Ltd and is the single most important database used in the company.<br />Internet/ Intranet applications:<br />DMRC Ltd is running its own external website<br />http://www.delhimetrorail.com<br />where information is provided for corporate and commuters, e.g., project updates, route maps, photo galleries, right to information act and details and information regarding recruitment/selection, tenders/contracts etc is provided. <br />DMRC Ltd website has been a very useful tool for getting information about the company. It is also helpful to its employees since the time of joining the organization.<br />DMRC Ltd is also running its internal website:<br />http://www.dmrc.org<br />which can be accessed internally as well as through internet (limited use) by its employees. It provides for corporate e-mail, salary and allowance details, important events, announcement, circulars, and policies. It also caters to grievance of staff, booking of meeting rooms, information about the corporate library and works as a repository for corporate documents. Many of the documents are digitalized and made online on this site.<br />This report endeavours to provide bird’s eye view of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited Information Technologies functions and operations without losing focus and going in much details.
