Explica las palabras relacionándolas con conceptos familiares en español para ayudar a los estudiantes a recordar su significado.

Por extensión, "siempre".

2. cloud; nube

Podemos acordarnos del "cloud computing", de la famosa
"nube".

También suena a Santa "Cloud"... ¿De dónde llega? Lo
imaginamos cayendo desde las "nubes", claro.

3. cloudy; nublado

4. cold; frío
Se parece a "cald-o", imaginamos que en las islas británicas el "cald-o" se
bebe bien "frío"
uIt's cold; Hace frío (ello es)
uI am cold or I feel cold; Tengo frío (soy) o tengo frío (siento)
uI have a cold; Estoy resfriado (tengo)
uIf you don't put on a coat, you will catch a cold; Si no te pones el abrigo,
cogerás un resfriado
uI always put on a coat, however I have a cold; Siempre me pongo el abrigo,
sin embargo estoy resfriado

5. down; abajo
Podemos acordarnos de la discoteca
"Apandau", "Up and Down", arriba y abajo.

Como en las películas "the end".

La chica "hot", la "hot" line...

pronto (demasiado de sangre caliente)

9. like; parecido, igual que, como

19. weather; el tiempo meteorológico o la
meteorología
Suena a r-"ueda". Imaginamos que en
Inglaterra el tiempo lo marca una "ueda" de la
suerte. Lluvia, viento, sol, lluvia... ¡Lluvia!

¿Qué tiempo tendremos mañana?
uThe weather is getting worse; El tiempo está
empeorando

20. wet; húmedo, mojado, lluvioso
u Suena a "alca-wet-e. Imaginamos que en
Londres, allá donde hay un alca-wet se
genera un charco de humedad.

tiempo lluvioso como a la peste
