VC Funding for Geeks; or, How to Get Your Technology to Emerge the VC Waycoolstuff
This was an etech talk by Marc Hedlund, Chief Product Officer, Wesabe
Geeks and venture capitalists often don't speak the same language. This talk provides a look at venture capital financing from the point of view of the technologist. If you have an idea for a technology company or a technology you'd like to make into a product, should you look for VC backing? What should your expectations be going into the process? What are some of the common pitfalls technologists encounter when they try to find VC funding? How can you talk about your technology and your company in a way that will appeal to potential venture backers?
We'll approach the topic of venture backing without getting bogged down in the finance terminology common to VC primers (though references for those topics will be provided). You'll be given a more informal set of advice; rules of thumb and cautions will predominate.
Prepare now for the next disruption! Future friendly content is stored, structured, and connected for people and computers outside of any user interface. We’ll explore how to create content-first designs that can restructure, reuse, and remix content, making it easier to find, explore, and share.

Great ideas don't happen in the boardroom. If we want to get better ideas, make meaningful connections or make a difference in the world we need to get back to basics and the things that matter.
Revenge of the Storymakers: How Brands are Battling StorytellingDavid Berkowitz
Presented at Inbound 2015, see how marketers are engaging in storymaking - building on the stories their consumers tell. See examples from Starbucks, Visa, Coca-Cola, and others in this exclusive annotated version. You'll find the 6 Traits of Storymaking and how to capitalize on them.

ejemplo: 0,0,0,1
Harold Maduro
8. Specificity
p { color: red; }
div p { color: green; }
div#content p { color: blue; }
Harold Maduro
9. Specificity
p { color: red; } 0,0,0,1
div p { color: green; } 0,0,0,2
div#content p { color: blue; } 0,1,0,2
Harold Maduro
10. Specificity
p { color: red; } 0,0,0,1
div p { color: green; } 0,0,0,2
div#content p { color: blue; } 0,1,0,2
Harold Maduro
11. Specificity
p { color: red; } 0,0,0,1
div p { color: green; } 0,0,0,2
div#content p { color: blue; } 0,1,0,2
Harold Maduro
12. Specificity
p { color: red; } 0,0,0,1
div p { color: green } 0,0,0,2
.nota { color: red; } 0,0,1,0
p.alerta { color: red; } 0,0,1,1
#header { color: blue; } 0,1,0,0
div#content p { color: blue; } 0,1,0,2
Harold Maduro
13. Specificity
<p style=”color: blue;”>
Azul azul 1,0,0,0
</p>
Harold Maduro
14. Specificity
Cascading Style Sheets,The Definitive Guide
de Eric Meyer.
O visite el CSS 2.1 Spec:
http://www.w3.org/TR/CSS21/cascade.html#specificity
Harold Maduro
17. Reglas Importantes
!important
Harold Maduro
18. Reglas Importantes
!important
p.alerta {
color: red !important;
background: white;
}
Harold Maduro
19. Reglas Importantes
!important
p.alerta {
color: red !important;
background: white;
}
!important siempre va al final de la regla, antes del punto y coma.
Harold Maduro
21. Reglas Importantes
p.alerta {
color: red !important;
<p class=”alerta”>
}
¡Soy una alerta!
p { color: blue; }
</p>
.alerta { color: yellow; }
html body .alerta { color: silver; }
Harold Maduro
22. Reglas Importantes
!important
Harold Maduro
23. Universal selector
p.alerta {
<p class=”alerta” style=”color: blue;”>
color: red !important;
¡Soy una alerta!
}
</p>
Harold Maduro
24. Reglas Importantes
!important
Harold Maduro
28. Inheritance
<p>
¡Soy una alerta!
p { color: red; }
<em>WAO</em>
Atender rápido.
</p>
Harold Maduro
29. Inheritance
Harold Maduro
33. The Cascade
cascada.
Harold Maduro
34. The Cascade
author stylesheets > user style sheets > browser stylesheets
Harold Maduro
estilos.
Harold Maduro
42. Ordenado por Orden de Aparición
h1 { color: red; }
h1 { color: blue; }
color azul.
Harold Maduro
