Es una fiesta que se celebra principalmente en
Estados Unidos, Norte de México, y algunas
provincias de Canadá, en la noche del 31 de
octubre.

2. Halloween en América
En el año 1840, esta festividad llega a Estados
Unidos. Los inmigrantes irlandeses
transmitieron versiones de la tradición durante
la Gran hambruna irlandesa. Fueron ellos,
quienes difundieron la costumbre de tallar los
Jack-o'-lantern.

tradition during the Great Irish Famine. It was
they who spread the custom of carving Jack-o'-
lantern.

México. Los Mexicanos observan el 27 de
octubre como la fiesta de las Almas del

4. Truco o Trato
. La leyenda asegura que lo mejor era hacer
trato, sin importar el costo que éste tuviera,
pues de no pactar con este espíritu (que
recibiría el nombre de Jack O'Lantern, con
el que se conocen a las tradicionales
calabazas de Halloween).
