Proposed an Integrated Model to Detect The Defect in Software Development Pro...Waqas Tariq
Currently, software quality assurance does not apply completely on the development of software industry and this leads to some challenges in the industry of software, specially, concerning cost and time consuming. While, the success of software development project depends on the application quality assurance standards, which starts by the pre-project and continue through the project till it reaches the user at the end. The aim of this model is the challenge to produce not only the software development project without defects but also the customer’s acceptance and satisfaction of the software. Thus to prevent software development project failure, this defect should be detected at an early stage. This study will deal with; the quality assurance inspection and testing, in the whole stages of software development projects. Then proposing the quality assurance inspection and testing model for the software development projects process, which known as “Integrated Model”.
Java-centered Translator-based Multi-paradigm Software Development EnvironmentWaqas Tariq
This research explores the use of a translator-based multi-paradigm programming method to develop high quality software. With Java as the target language, an integrated software development environment is built to allow different parts of software implemented in Lisp, Prolog, and Java respectively. Two open source translators named PrologCafe and Linj are used to translate Prolog and Lisp program into Java classes. In the end, the generated Java classes are compiled and linked into one executable program. To demonstrate the functionalities of this integrated multi-paradigm environment, a calculator application is developed. Our study has demonstrated that a centralized translator-based multi-paradigm software development environment has great potential for improving software quality and the productivity of software developers. The key to the successful adoption of this approach in large software development depends on the compatibility among the translators and seamless integration of generated codes.
ANP-GP Approach for Selection of Software Architecture StylesWaqas Tariq
Abstract Selection of Software Architecture for any system is a difficult task as many different stake holders are involved in the selection process. Stakeholders view on quality requirements is different and at times they may also be conflicting in nature. Also selecting appropriate styles for the software architecture is important as styles impact characteristics of software (e.g. reliability, performance). Moreover, styles influence how software is built as they determine architectural elements (e.g. components, connectors) and rules on how to integrate these elements in the architecture. Selecting the best style is difficult because there are multiple factors such as project risk, corporate goals, limited availability of resources, etc. Therefore this study presents a method, called SSAS, for the selection of software architecture styles. Moreover, this selection is a multi-criteria decision-making problem in which different goals and objectives must be taken into consideration. In this paper, we suggest an improved selection methodology, which reflects interdependencies among evaluation criteria and alternatives using analytic network process (ANP) within a zero-one goal programming (ZOGP) model. Keywords: Software Architecture; Selection of Software Architecture Styles; Multi-Criteria Decision Making; Interdependence; Analytic Network Process (ANP); Zero-One Goal Programming (ZOGP)

College Student Perceptions of Marijuana 2015SarahMartin33
This marketing research project was created to better understand college students perceptions on marijuana. In this paper we cover background research concerning legalization of marijuana and behavior. After identifying questions that were not answered during our research, we administered a survey via Qualtrics and received over 700 responses from college students in different colleges in the nation. We took their responses and analyzed our data over SPSS. We discovered that most of our hypotheses held true.
