2. PARTS OF THE INSIDE OF THE EARTH
The Earth’s interior is divided into differents parts:
- Crust: Here is where we life.
- Mantle: is divided into two parts: The upper mantle
and the lower mantle. It’s around 600ºC and 3500ºC.
- Core: it’s also divided into two parts: the outer core
and the inner core. It’s formed of iron and Nickel and
it’s got a temperature of 6700ºC.
4. LITHOSPHERE
The lithosphere is formed by the crust and
the upper mantle, and it’s divided into
pieces (it’s like a puzzle). This pieces are
called tectonic plates, and they’re
continually moving. This plates form the
relief of the Earth when they separate or
impact between them. They also form
volcanoes, that
move materials from
the mantle to the crust.
continental. En ella propuso la idea
de que hace mucho tiempo todos
los continentes estaban unidos en un
súper continente, llamado Pangea.
Esto se debía al movimiento de las
placas tectónicas. Y presentó pruebas como paleontológicas,
geológicas, climáticas y geográficas:
