- 2. Roger Waters se inspiró durante una gira de Pink Floyd. Viendo las actitudes del público mientras ellos tocaban no lograba comprender las manifestaciones de fanatismo de la gente. Comenzó a pensar en la idea de construir un muro que separara a la banda de la gente (más que nada porque el concebía que lo fundamental era la obra musical y no ellos). En un recital un fan estaba tratando de acceder al escenario y Roger se acercó y le escupió la cara. Cuando esa noche llegó al hotel se puso a pensar sobre su reacción frente a la actitud del fan y sobre como lo afectó a él el hecho de ser un músico conocido. Ese fue el punto de partida de The Wall. Cada una de las cosas negativas que le fueron pasando son "Another Brick in the Wall", "otro ladrillo en la pared", en ese muro emocional
- 3. La película nos muestra como el protagonista al verse afectado por los traumas que le han sucedido empieza a ver las cosas de una forma diferente y critica frente a la realidad que le rodea. La perdida de una figura paterna, la sobreprotección de su madre, la educación opresiva y sus problemas matrimoniales fueron factores decisivos que llevaron a pink a apartarse del mundo y reprimir lo que sentía, llevándolo a su autodestrucción.
