6. HAVE - HAS
Have and has are different forms of the verb to have.
Even though they come from the same word, there are
slight differences in the way they’re used.
While the verb to have has many different meanings, its
primary meaning is “to possess, own, hold for use, or
contain.” Have and has indicate possession in the
present tense (describing events that are currently
happening).
Have is used with the pronouns I, you, we, and they,
while has is used with he, she, and it.
Tener y tiene son formas diferentes del verbo
tener. Aunque provienen de la misma palabra,
existen ligeras diferencias en la forma en que se
usan.
Si bien el verbo tener tiene muchos significados
diferentes, su significado principal es "poseer,
poseer, mantener para usar o contener". Have y
has indican posesión en tiempo presente
(describiendo eventos que están sucediendo
actualmente).
Have se usa con los pronombres I, you, we y they,
mientras que has se usa con él, ella y eso.
7. El igual que en español, el verbo 'to have' es uno de los tipos de
verbos y conjugaciones más usadas en el inglés ya que nos ayuda a
enfatizar que tenemos algún objeto o característica, tenemos una
obligación que cumplir o queremos denotar que algo ya ha sido
realizado.
Yo tengo un nuevo reloj - Objeto o característica.
I have a new watch.
Yo tengo que finalizar mi ensayo antes de las 3 en punto - Obligación
I have to finish the essay before 3 o'clock.
Yo he finalizado mi ensayo de inglés - Acción que ya fue realizada.
I have finished my english essay.

11. In the same way, we are going to find
a variation in the past tense form of
HAVE. If you want to say “I HAD a car”,
use HAD, and simply say “I had a car”
or “she She had a dog”, Ella had a dog.
De la misma manera, vamos a
encontrar una variación en la
forma de pasado de HAVE. Si
quieres decir “Yo TUVE un carro”,
usa HAD, y sencillamente di “I had
a car” o “She had a dog”, Ella tuvo
un perro.

In this case, HAVE is going to be a
companion or helper in the sentence that
complements the main action. Here, you
can talk about recent experiences or
actions. This is the structure of the present
perfect, therefore the verb that
accompanies HAVE is the most important,
and you are going to use it in the past
participle form.
En este caso, HAVE va a ser un
acompañante o ayudante en la oración
que complementa la acción principal.
Aquí, puedes hablar sobre experiencias
o acciones realizadas recientemente.
Esta es la estructura del presente
perfecto, por lo tanto el verbo que
acompaña a HAVE es el más importante,
y lo vas a usar en la forma de pasado
participio.

15. PRESENT PERFECT
TENSE
The present perfect tense refers to an action
or state that either occurred at an indefinite
time in the past (we have talked before) or
began in the past and continued to the
present time (he has grown impatient over
the last hour). This tense is formed by
have/has + the past participle/perfect tense.
The construction of this verb tense is straight
forward. The first element is have or has,
depending on the subject the verb is
conjugated with. The second element is the
past participle of the verb, which is usually
formed by adding -ed or -d to the verb’s root
(e.g., walked, cleaned, typed, perambulated,
jumped, laughed, sautéed) although English
does have quite a few verbs that have
irregular past participles (e.g., done, said,
gone, known, won, thought, felt, eaten).
El tiempo presente perfecto se refiere a una
acción o estado que ocurrió en un tiempo
indefinido en el pasado (hemos hablado
antes) o comenzó en el pasado y continuó
hasta el presente (se ha impacientado
durante la última hora). Este tiempo está
formado por have/has + el participio
pasado/tiempo perfecto.
La construcción de este tiempo verbal es
sencilla. El primer elemento es have o has,
según el sujeto con el que se conjuga el verbo.
El segundo elemento es el participio pasado
del verbo, que generalmente se forma
agregando -ed o -d a la raíz del verbo (por
ejemplo, walk, clean, type, perambulated,
jumped, laughed, sautéed) aunque el inglés
tiene bastantes verbos que tienen participios
pasados irregulares (por ejemplo, hecho,
dicho, ido, conocido, ganado, pensado,
sentido, comido).
