DISCIPLINAS Disciplines
Es la disciplina más acrobática de todo el
Mundial. Los saltadores alcanzan velocidades de
60 km/h , suben 20 metros en el aire y realizan
hasta tres saltos mortales atrás con cinco giros,
inmediatamente después caen en una recepción
con una inclinación muy pronunciada. Los trucos
que realizan son las maniobras más difíciles en
cualquier deporte acrobático.

BACHES
Consiste en bajar una pista bacheada de una
longitud entre 200 y 270 metros, y con una
pendiente que oscila entre los 24 y los 28 grados
de inclinación. La distancia que hay entre un
bache y otro es de 3.5 metros. Durante el
recorrido, los esquiadores tendrán dos saltos
entre medias de la pista, donde tendrán que
realizar dos saltos diferentes.
Mogul courses are between 200 and 270 metres long with
an average slope grade of 26 degrees.The moguls
themselves are set approximately 3.5 metres apart.The
course includes two small jumps which are used as a
take-off for aerial maneuvers.
Aerials is one of the most technically challenging and
spectator-captivating sports in the world.At the World
Championship level,competitors hit the jumps, or ‘kickers’,
at speeds of 60 km/h or faster, launch themselves some
20 metres in the air and perform up to three back
somersaults with as many as five twists, touching down on
a landing hill so steep that most people would be nervous
just skiing down it. Aerialist’s tricks are the most difficult
maneuvers performed in any acrobatic sport.

The dual moguls consist of lowering the track two by two
and the judges decide who passes to the next round.Not
always for being the fastest you make sure to go round,
but part of the time, technique and air also punctuates.

component in ski cross.It is all about speed as skiers race
four at a time down a course comprised of various

Es la disciplina más técnica del Freestyle Ski. Los
riders descienden por el medio tubo y ejecutan
tres saltos a cada lado. Los jueces deciden en
función de la amplitud, dificultad y aterrizaje de
los trucos, incluyendo el estilo. El Halfpipe de
Sierra Nevada tiene una longitud de 165 metros.
La competición consiste en realizar dos rondas.
Las 8 mejores puntuaciones en mujeres pasan a
la final y en hombres, los 16 mejores.
It is the most technical discipline of freestyle skiing.The
Sierra Nevada´s Halfpipe has a length of 165 meters.The
riders execute about 5 to 7 different tricks.Judges are the
ones who decide according to their breadth,the degree of
difficulty of the tricks they perform,and the overall
impression,including style.The top eight women are in
the final and in menthe best 16.

air,and land on a slope of around 30 degrees.

instalación que el de freestyle ski y sigue el sistema de
competición. Los riders realizan trucos de lado a lado del

grado de dificultad de los trucos y la impresión general,

The snowboard halfpipe is played in the same facility as the freestyle ski.
In snowboarding the riders perform tricks from side to side of the
Halfpipe.The riders execute about 5 to 7 different tricks.The halfpipe
discipline is scored by judges with one overall impression score based on
the following criteria: execution of tricks,variety of tricks,difficulty, pipe
use, and amplitude.

victoria. Subcampeón olímpico, tiene los saltos de
mayor dificultad de la Copa del Mundo.Verlo es

This 23 year old Canadian was rookie of the year in 2010.
In 2012 he won his first crystal globe. He has been on 54
podiums in the World Cups and had 34 victories. He has
participated in 6 World Championships, obtaining 6
podiums and two of them were victories. He is a silver
Olympic medalist and performs the most difficult jumps in
the World Cup.Watching him is a guaranteed spectacle.

A 23 year old Australian who participates in the Mogul
discipline. She has participated in two Olympic Games, 35
World Cups and she kicked off this season by winning the first
two World Championships in Finland and the USA. She’s one
of the quickest on the slopes.

Máxime, Chloe y Justine son tres hermanas
canadienses que están en el top 10 de la Copa
del Mundo de baches. Justine y Chloe son
campeona y subcampeona olímpica. En Calgary
el año pasado subieron las tres hermanas al
pódium por primera vez. Justine tiene 33
pódiums en Copa del Mundo, Chloe tiene 25
pódiums en Copa del Mundo y ha competido ya
en 90 pruebas. Además, Justine defiende el
título ya que subió a lo más alto del pódium en
los últimos Mundiales.
Máxime, Chloe and Justine are three Canadian sisters
who are within the top 10 of the Mogul World Cup.
Justine and Chloe are gold and silver Olympic medalists.
Last year the three sisters won the podium together for

Albiez, en Francia, donde acabó 16ª. En 2016 participó en 4 Copas de Europa en Italia y Francia,
en las disciplinas de moguls y dual moguls.
This 19-year-old Andalusian girl from the Caja Rural Club has managed to place herself within the top

36. Voluntarios
Alrededor de 400 personas apoyarán, con su colaboración desinteresada, a la organización de los
Campeonatos del Mundo de Freestyle Ski y Snowboard Sierra Nevada 2017. Son los voluntarios del
Mundial, en su mayoría jóvenes universitarios, aunque también veteranos esquiadores o
simplemente amantes de los deportes de nieve, que se dejarán la piel por contribuir al buen
desarrollo del evento.
Escogidos de entre más de 1.000 solicitudes recibidas, el grupo de voluntarios se ha
sometido a un riguroso proceso selectivo y ha
recibido formación específica acorde a las
funciones que desarrollarán durante el
evento. Con ilusión y esfuerzo
colaborarán en prácticamente todos
los departamentos de la organización:
comunicación y prensa,
acreditaciones, control de accesos,
logística, salud, señalización, pistas...
Un grupo en apariencia heterogéneo
en cuanto a procedencia, formación
e incluso edad, pero con un
denominador común: todos y
cada uno de ellos son
imprescindibles para el
desarrollo del Mundial en la
estación de Sierra Nevada.

37. A non-profit group of 400 people will work together to help and
support the organisation of the Freestyle Ski and Snowboard
World Championships Sierra Nevada 2017.These volunteers
are mostly young university students, although we can also
find ski veterans or simply winter sports lovers who are also
more than willing to help. Our volunteers will do their best to
contribute to the successful development of the event.
We have received more than 1,000 applications, from which
they have been selected. Our volunteers have passed a very
strict selective procedure and they have received specific
training concerning the different tasks that they will carry out
during the event. Full of enthusiasm and willing to do their best
to help, they will participate in practically all the organisation
departments: press and communication, accreditations, access
control, logistics, health, signalization, slope service…
Our group may be made up with people from different
backgrounds, origins, education and even different ages,
however a common goal unites them: each of them is key for
the successful performance of this Sierra Nevada World
Championship.
A devoted group of volunteers will be
committed to work hard for the
success of the World Championship

Peatones: A la pista del Río se accederá hasta la zona de meta
por el recorrido señalizado desde el ramal del telesilla Antonio
Jara. Accederán a zona de público con ticket.
Los clientes esquiadores o snowboarders: Podrán acceder al
área de espectadores con el forfait nocturno. Con el pase
podrán hacer rotaciones por el TC Al Ándalus.
Pedestrians: Access to the Río slope will be from the finish line zone via
the route from the fork at the Antonio Jara Ski Lift. A ticket is required
to access the public zone.
Ski or snowboard customers can access the spectator area with an
evening pass.They can rotate around the TC Al Ándalus with the pass.
LOMA DÍLAR - HALFPIPE LOMA DÍLAR - HALFPIPE
Peatones: Acceso por telesilla Jara.
Los clientes esquiadores o snowboarders: Podrán acceder al
área de espectadores con el forfait nocturno, que se adquirirá
on line, en las taquillas generales o en los cajeros
expendedores. Con el pase podrán hacer rotaciones en el
miniparque de iniciación (Ts Loma Dílar) o en la pista Loma
