Notes: Depending on time, it is not recommended to go into detail into every single “mile stone”. Give a few notes about some dates which the customer might be most interested in. Example, if there are some thoughts about the Alinity concept, show that Roche came up with this concept starting in 1999 and competition is only trying to catch up now but “Nothing beats the original” – more details on cmpdia.roche.com
PROPOSED TALK TRACK
At Roche Diagnostics, our vision is to empower laboratories to manage the future by streamlining how labs are designed and by simplifying their equipment and processes. We have already pioneered the integration of clinical chemistry and immunochemistry, having created the concept of the ‘Serum Work Area’ in 1999. Also, in 1999, Roche is pioneer in connected automation with Modular Pre-Analytics (MPA).
Even before this, Roche is the first IVD company to develop dedicated IT solutions for laboratories.
As you can see, we at Roche have a proven track record with our innovative solutions of continuously pioneering laboratory efficiency for our customers today and tomorrow.
Starting with Modular Analytics in 2002, we were the first to be able to offer our customers SWA modularity and scalability which brought a high consolidation power.
With the launch of the cobas 6000 in 2006 we where the first company who introduced a common reagent and platform concept. It is an intelligent and flexible solution based on a common architecture that delivers tailor made solutions for divers workload and testing requirements. The cobas modular platform is designed to reduce the complexity of laboratory operation and provide efficient and compatible solutions for network cooperation.
The platform concept is continuously expanded. Only one year after the cobas 6000 introduction we launched the cobas 4000 analyzer series and in 2009 the cobas 8000 modular analyzer series was launched.
In 2014, Roche brought a new innovation to the core lab, bringing molecular diagnostics into the core lab.
In 2015 we introduced the cobas c 513 analyzer. It fulfills a special testing demand. This dedicated high throughput HbA1c solution setts a new precedent in HbA1c lab efficiency.
The new cobas e 801 module is the latest addition to the cobas® 8000 modular analyzer series. This innovative immunochemistry module is designed for maximum consolidation at a high throughput level, continuous operation, and efficient use of existing resources such as space, infrastructure and personnel. Its smart design and outstanding performance make it the ideal solution for mid to high volume
laboratories facing growing workloads in an increasingly challenging environment. The cobas e 801 module allows laboratories to maximize productivity and efficiency, support best patient care, and grow sustainably.
Also, in 2016 – Roche was able to shape lab automation coming back with the industry leading throughput solution with CCM High Speed.
You can be confident that we are currently working on numerous improvements for future cobas systems evolutions that will continue to set standards, thereby also helping you to increase efficiency and competitiveness.
This innovation is not “out of the blue”…
