1. History of Axelon Services
Axelon, a certified woman-owned national staffing company, was founded in 1977. In the early
80s, Axelon was a management and systems consulting company to the financial industry. We
specialized in developing Trade Services (Letter of Credit) software for financial
organizations. In the 80s, Axelon architected, designed and developed the letter of credit system
that processed over thirty percent of U.S. exports for the largest U.S. and global banking
organization of that time. The system Axelon developed is still the cornerstone of letter of credit
processing for this organization.
Due to the increased need for IT staff supplementation in the late 80s, Axelon began to invest in
systems and processes to locate, attract, qualify and recruit IT professionals for placement as
consultants at client organizations. Axelon also remains focused on assisting our clients in
achieving their goals through the implementation of computer systems to enhance the
effectiveness and efficiency of their organizations, thereby raising the maturity level of the
software development life cycle. Today, Axelon supports all industries, including food and
beverage, pharmaceutical, chemical, telecommunications, electronics, engineering, banking,
brokerage, insurance, hospitality, education and municipal government.
Support Capabilities
Axelon is a primary vendor to corporations such as Bristol Myers-Squibb, Pfizer, Teva
Pharmaceuticals, BASF, Eaton, PepsiCo, Kraft, Bank of America, AT&T, Citigroup,
Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank, and BNP Paribas. We service all of our clients’ needs,
including IT, engineering/technical, financial, professional services, light industrial,
clinical/scientific, administrative/clerical, call center, legal, executive, and
accounting/finance. Our recruitment process and quality standards set us apart and allow us
to rapidly deliver high quality at competitive prices.
All of Axelon’s senior management began their careers as recruiters, and ascended through
the ranks of the staffing industry. Axelon’s management and leadership are industry experts
who emphasize customer service and responsiveness to clients. They have all worked at
Axelon for more than 10 years, and some for over 30 years.
Recruiting Process
Axelon has developed a solid infrastructure to support the staff evaluation and candidate
selection process. Our strategy is structured and methodical. It ensures that our clients
consistently receive the most highly qualified available consultants. Among other measures, our
process requires that each candidate undergoes our proprietary technical exams and is
interviewed by one of the recruiters. We also verify and validate their employment history. This

clients.
The following procedures outline our recruitment and screening process.
Technical Testing
Prior to being considered, all applicants for employment undergo a battery of exams developed
by Axelon technical managers. Each individual is rigorously tested in specific areas of software
expertise. This ensures maximum aptitude and proficiency.
Personal Interview
Our recruiters interview and evaluate each candidate on issues of character, ability to
communicate, and interpersonal skills. In accordance with ISO 9000, we have established a
rating system to consistently rank an applicant’s level of communication. These sessions bring
out additional qualifications not reflected in a resume, as well as more clearly defined personal
strengths and career goals. Axelon understands that successful employment goes beyond
technical expertise.
Validation and Verification
Past employment is a prime indicator of performance and capability. We contact former
supervisors to determine a candidate's ability to deliver the job. Their input provides an added
measure of insight, while also confirming that resumes accurately reflect stated work experience.
In addition, we also perform a thorough educational verification. When required, we also
perform a credit and criminal background check, as well as a drug test.
Experience with VMS & MSP
Axelon’s experience with Vendor Management Systems (VMS) systems is extensive. We were a
supplier to the first companies to implement the blind process and VMS. We supported the
process and have built our infrastructure around the success of servicing VMSs. Axelon strictly
adheres to the rules of the VMS and hopes to partner with our clients within this process in order
to provide the best possible service. Currently, we are ranked as one of the top 3 suppliers at the
majority of our Fortune 500 clients.
Technology
Axelon’s in-house systems and processes give us the differentiating competency. When other
factors are equal, Axelon is able to respond faster than our competitors, locating and recruiting
the most qualified candidate at the most competitive rate.
3. Axelon currently uses JobDiva, the most sophisticated, advanced recruiting tool on the market.
This tool, which was developed by Axelon and based on Axelon’s process, allows us to quickly
respond with the best possible candidate to every requirement. As a result, we are able to service
our clients nationally, and not just focus on regional pockets. We currently have consultants
working for us at our clients' sites across all of the United States and Canada.
Axelon’s database of over fourteen million resumes enables us to supply candidates for a wide
range of skill sets. This database, which our recruiters can search in less than three seconds,
instantly supplies our staff with a list of qualified candidates who match client
requirements. Consultants' resumes and information are compiled via subscriptions to more than
15 job boards, employee referrals, and resume submissions to Axelon’s web site. Every day,
Axelon’s automated system gathers more than 2,000 resumes and enters them into the system.
Each resume is parsed for personal information, work history, education, and number of years’
experience in each skill set. Axelon has found this automated sourcing approach to be the most
efficient method of finding qualified individuals.
