2. Mission Himalayas with Aspen Adventures
Suggested Itinerary for 11 nights 12 days
Day 01: Arrival / Srinagar
We request you to kindly make your own arrangements to
Srinagar.
Meeting and assistance upon arrival at Srinagar airport.
We will check into our hotel. Today, we will have a group meeting
and a general introduction with each other.
This afternoon we will enjoy Shikara ride. Later, we will explore the sights of Srinagar.
Overnight: Star Of Kashmir or Similar
Day 02: Srinagar / Gulmarg / Srinagar (90 Kms – one way)
After an early breakfast we proceed to Gulmarg for a day return
trip. The drive to Gulmarg is through remarkable facet of country
side in Kashmir. We have the option to take the exhilarating
Gondola cable car ride to Khilanmarg Snow Point view.
Later, we will drive back to our hotel in Srinagar.

Day 03: Srinagar / Kargil (209 Km)
After a leisurely breakfast, we will drive to Kargil. This is a town
which serves as the headquarters of Kargil district of Ladakh in the
state of Jammu and Kashmir in India. It is the second largest town in
Ladakh after Leh.

3. After wash and change, we will start exploring the sights of the region. Kargil War Memorial is one of the
major attractions here. Other attractions of the Kargil region include Sani, Rangdum, Zongkhul, Stonday
and Mulbekh monastery. Built under the patronage of king Kanishka of the Kushan dynasty during the 1st
century, Sani monastery is one of the oldest sites in Ladakh.

Day 04: Kargil / Leh (216 Km)
After breakfast, we will start our drive to Leh. Meeting and
assistance upon arrival and check into your hotel
Rest of the day is at leisure. It is time for us to get acclimatized to
the thin air. You have the option of gently strolling down to the
markets of Leh.

Day 05:- Leh
Today we will visit the sights of Leh - the famous City Palace, the old town, the famous Monasteries, the
Shanti Stupa and the War Museum. We will also visit the Pather sahib and the Magnetic hill in the evening.

Day 06:- Leh - Khardungla Pass – Nubra (150 Kms)
An early morning wake up, followed by breakfast and checking
our bikes and gear. We start our drive towards the world’s
highest motor-able road- Khardungla Pass We cross over
Phyang and then on to Tanglang La. After a drive of about 40
Kms we reach the Khardungla Pass – The Highest Motor-able
Road in the world. . Later, we head toward the Nubra valley
via Khardungla village, Khalsar. Lunch will be en-route. We will
visit Diskit, and Hunder. Diskit has monasteries with tallest lord
Buddha statue and hunder has sand dunes and bacterian camel safari.

4. Day 07:- Nubra - Leh (150 Kms)
Early morning wakeup call followed by camel safari (guests can pay directly). Back to camp for breakfast
and then ride back toward the Leh via Khardungla. We reach Leh by evening and catch breath taking sun
set view of Leh city.

Day 08:- Leh - Pangong Lake (200 Kms/ 07-08 Hrs.)
Early wakeup call, after breakfast we will start our journey to the
world’s highest salt lake. The 200-km trip to Pangong Lake is an
experience of its own.
Beyond this city, there is nothing but the extreme mountain ranges
for company. The second stop is the Changla Pass (17,350 ft.),
which could test ones lungs, for the lack of oxygen. Upon arrival,
we settle in our camps, followed to a visit to the lake.
Situated at an altitude of 4,350 meters above sea level, Pangong Lake lies in the northeast of Leh. This
famous blue blackish lake of Pangong is 5-6 km wide and over 144 km long with half of it running to the
other side of the Indo-China border.

Day 09:- Pangong – Tsomoriri (125 Kms - 7 Hours drive)
Post Breakfast, we do a complete gear check and drive to Tsomoriri Lake. It is a breathtaking journey on a
trail that is literally a ‘no mans’ land.
The nomadic people Changpas are most outstanding feature of
this area. They can be seen moving from one place to other
grazing herds of goats, sheep and yaks. Changpas pass their days
with their animals and move with their flocks, their only wealth
from pasture to pasture according to changing season. Their flocks,
their yaks, and goat's hair furnish the raw material of which they
make their ropes, their clothes and shoes.
Spend your evening watching shadows of the surrounding mountain and the varying depths of Tsomoriri
lake changing colors from the most amazing hues of blue and green alternating between jade and turquoise
emerald and an unbelievable indigo..

5. Day 10: Tsomoriri to Jispa (340 Kms – 10 Hours Drive)
Early morning wakeup call followed by breakfast. Later, we flag off
our epic ride from Leh to Jispa, a distance of about 320 kms. En-
route we cross our 1st pass of the journey – Rohtang Pass (3978
mts) and later drive through to Jispa.
The evening is at leisure to explore some other places of interest
around the city, followed by overnight rest.
Jispa, in Himachal Pradesh lies at 3319 m (10,890 feet) on the bank of the Bhaga River, whose waters lull
you to sleep at night. Mud houses and Buddhist chortens complement the serene cape. Jispa also offers
numerous adventure activities like River Crossing, Rock Climbing/Rappelling etc.
One can also visit the famous Gemur Monastery, which was built in the 18th century containing ancient
Buddhist miniature paintings, wall paintings, stupas, statues and Buddhist artifacts

Day 11: Jispa to Manali (115 Kms)
This is the final leg of our ritual road trip. Following a leisurely breakfast
we will drive to Manali. We arrive in Manali by the evening and hand
over our bikes and helmets.

Day 12: Manali / Departure
Day is at leisure for your independent activities. We will provide transfer to the bus stand from the hotel.
Though the check-out time at hotels is 12 Noon, we will make every effort to keep the rooms till as late as
possible.
