We currently have 16 FreeTrade Agreements in place
Colombia has access to more than 60 countries with more than 1,5 billion consumers, through this network.
Colombia is also a member of the Pacific Alliance
A key outcome for Colombia as part of this Alliance is the newly established Asociate State category, including the decision made by the Pacific Alliance to negotiate new agreements as a block.
Negotiations are underway to provide Australia, Canada, Singapore and New Zealand Associate State status.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
The Associate State category seeks to strengthen commercial and regional integration, and free trade, while taking full advantage of regional platforms to promote trade negotiations ensuring high quality standards across trade disciplines. Similarly, it helps deepen trade relations with Observer States where mutual interests in this matter has been identified.
When I mentioned the geographic location of Colombia, we are spot in the middle of the American continent,
With Access to both the Pacific and Atlantic Oceans which allows us to reach a market of over 900 million consumers
