3. Situacion
Australia es un pais del continente de Oceania. Es una isla muy
grande. Rodeada por el oceano Pacifico,Indico y Antartico. Los
paises mas cercanos son: Indonesia, Timor Oriental, Papua Nueva
Guiena al norte. Islas Salomon, Vanuatu, Nueva Caledonia al
noreste y Nueva Zelanda al sureste.
5. HISTORIA
Australia siempre estuvo habitada por Aborigenes
Australianos. Tras esporadicas visitas de pescadores y
exploradores Europeos en el siglo diecisiete. Fue
reclamada por Inglaterra en 1.770 formando 6 Colonias.
En 1.901 se formo la Confederacion de Australia, como
monarquia parlamentaria independiente de Gran
Bretaña, pero conservando a la monarquia Britanica.
6. GEOGRAFIA
Una gran parte del pais es desertico. Al norte hay
un clima tropical, con selvas lluviosas, bosques,
praderas y manglares. En sus costas existen
barreras de coral que son las mas grandes del
mundo. La montaña mas alta se llama Kosciuszko
con 2.228 metros de altitud.
7. ANIMALES Y PLANTAS
La fauna de Australia se caracteriza por tener espesies que solo
viven hay, como los marsupiales, que son mamiferos que tienen
una bolsa en la barriga donde meten a sus crias, como el canguro
y el koala. Existen muchas serpientes y lagartijas y animales raros
como el onitorrinco.
La flora: Los bosques australianos son de eucaliptos y acacias.
Existen zonas de manglares a lo largo de la costa.
8. COSAS QUE PRODUCEN, ALIMENTOS Y MONUMENTOS
En agricultura hay grandes campos de trigo. Crian
muchas ovejas.
Los aborigenes comen la llamada Bush Tuker. El
plato tipico es el pastel de carne.
El edificio de la opera de Sidney es el monumento
mas representativo del pais.
