It discusses program statements, data storage directives, defining and naming data, data transfer instructions, and the basic structure of an assembly language program, including segments for code, data, and stack. Pseudo-operations and directives are used to define variables and reserve memory. Data types like bytes, words, and doublewords are stored in reverse order in memory.
Optical memory uses lasers, storage media, and detectors to store data. Common optical storage devices include CDs, DVDs, and Blu-ray discs. CDs store data in the form of pits and lands on an aluminum layer, which a laser reads by detecting differences in light reflection. DVDs store more data than CDs using closer pit spacing and multiple layers that the laser can read through. Blu-ray discs can store 25 GB per layer or 50 GB with dual layers, replacing DVD technology.
Digital computers represent data by means of an easily identified symbol called a digit. The data may
contain digits, alphabets or special character, which are converted to bits, understandable by the computer.
In Digital Computer, data and instructions are stored in computer memory using binary code (or
machine code) represented by Binary digIT’s 1 and 0 called BIT’s.
The number system uses well-defined symbols called digits.
Number systems are classified into two types:
o Non-positional number system
o Positional number system

FLAG REGISTER(ASSEMBLY LANGUAGE) with examples WITH TYPES OF FLAG. . THIS IS A TYPE OF REGISTER IN COMPUTER. THIS IS THE STATUS REGISTER IN INTEL x86 MICROPROCESSOR THAT CONTAIN CURRENT STATUS OF THE PROCESSOR.
The 80386 processor architecture is divided into three sections - the central processing unit (CPU), memory management unit (MMU), and bus interface unit (BIU). The CPU contains an execution unit with registers for handling data and calculating offsets, and an instruction unit that decodes instructions. The MMU manages memory using segmentation and paging, dividing physical memory into pages and virtual memory into segments and pages. It provides protection of system code and data. The BUI controls access to the system bus. The 80386 also features eight 32-bit general purpose registers that can be used as 16-bit registers, along with extended 32-bit versions of the BP, SP, SI, and DI registers.
The document discusses various techniques for input/output (I/O) in computer systems, including programmed I/O, interrupt-driven I/O, and direct memory access (DMA). It describes how I/O modules interface with CPUs and peripherals to handle data transfer between devices that operate at different speeds. Common I/O bus standards like ISA, PCI, FireWire, and InfiniBand are also overviewed in terms of their architecture, protocols, and applications.

Louis Not. 1993.
2. Sistema Binario
3. Decimal a Binario
20=1, 21=2, 22=4, 23=8, 24=16, 25=32, 26=64, ...
101102 = 0 · 1 + 1 · 2 + 1 · 4 + 0 · 8 + 1 · 16 = 2 + 4 + 16 = 2210
1102 = 0 · 1 + 1 · 2 + 1 · 4 = 2 + 4 = 610
