The document outlines several aims of Indian cultural education like duty, livelihood, work, liberation, and stages of life. It also lists common and specific objectives of education including knowledge, skills, application, development of personality, society, and nationality.
This document discusses integrity in sport and the issues around match fixing and spot fixing. It outlines the current legal framework around gambling and corruption offenses and examines recommendations from the Parry Report to strengthen regulation. It provides examples of cases involving Robert Heys, Daniel Koellerer, and Mervyn Westfield to illustrate the application of integrity rules in different sports. The document concludes that corruption threatens the health and existence of sports by undermining public support and damaging commercial partnerships.
The document discusses various yoga kriyas or cleansing practices including trataka, neti, kapalabhati, dhauti, nauli, and basti. It explains how each kriya cleanses and stimulates different parts of the body like the eyes, nasal passages, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, and abdominal organs. It also discusses how kriyas help develop inner awareness, stamina, and voluntary control over involuntary reflexes while removing negativities from the mind and body.

This document summarizes the key aspects of yoga. It discusses that yoga is an ancient practice originating in India over 5,000 years ago that means "unity" or "discipline." The document provides evidence that yoga has health benefits such as reducing stress and conditions caused by stress like hypertension. It also notes that meditation is part of yoga practice and seeks to quiet the mind. Finally, it outlines the main types of yoga including asanas and pranayama and describes how yoga can improve quality of life, symptoms of stress, and sleep quality for cancer patients.

The document summarizes some of the basic rules of hockey, including off-sides, icing, common penalties, how goals and assists are awarded, and what is required to win a game. Off-sides occurs when a player enters the attacking zone before the puck. Icing is called when the puck is shot from one's own side of center ice all the way down the ice, resulting in a face-off in the offending team's zone. Common penalties include slashing, tripping, and interference. A goal is scored when the entire puck crosses the goal line, and up to two assists can be awarded per goal. To win, a team must score more goals than the other team within regular time and overtime

Personality Types & different types of AssessmentMakarand Joshi
This document discusses various theories and approaches to personality types and methods of personality assessment. It mentions three early theories of personality types proposed by Kretschmer, Sheldon, and Jung. It also discusses dimensions of personality like physiological, psychological, intellectual, social, and emotional. Regarding methods of personality assessment, it describes the wholeistic, projection, and trait approach methods. It provides details of various psychological inventories used for personality assessment, including Cattell's 16PF questionnaire, Eysenck Personality Test, Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory, and California Psychological Inventory.
Personality & its Postulates & Development.txMakarand Joshi
1. Personality refers to the unique characteristics and traits that make a person unique.
2. Several theories see personality as a dynamic organization within an individual determined by their psychophysical systems and their unique adjustment to the environment.
3. Factors like genetics, environment, culture, and upbringing all influence the development of a person's personality.
2. Definition of intelligence –
Intelligence is the unique and highest
attribute of human species because of which
, he is proved to be supreme. He has used
his talent to achieve development. Different
psychologists have defined intelligence in
different ways –
Intelligence is a person’s capacity to
i. Acquire knowledge(i.e. to learn and
understand)
ii. Apply knowledge to solve problems
iii. Engage in abstract reasoning

4. William Stern – “Intelligence is a general capacity of an
individual consciously to adjust his thinking to new
requirements”.
David Weschler – defined intelligence as, “The
aggregate or global capacity of an individual to act
purposefully, to think rationally and to deal effectively
with his environment”.
Howard Gardner – defined as, “the ability or skill to
solve problems or to create products, that are valued
within one or more cultural settings”.
Robert Sternberg – he says, “intelligence is not merely
reacting to the environment but it also involves actively
selecting and sharping the environment”.

7. It is an important concept in the
field of psychological testing.
Concept of mental age was first
introduced by Alfred Binet. Mental
age can be defined as a measure of
mental development as determined
by intelligence tests.
For example – if a 5 year old does well
on an intelligence test as an average
child of 7, his mental age is 7.

8. The concept of I.Q was for the first time
introduced by German psychologist William Stern
in 1912 and employed in 1916.
Stern computed IQ by the formula
Mental age
I.Q. = ----------------- x 100
Chronological age
I.Q is a ratio of mental age to chronological age.
Where,
Mental age - ( level of intellectual)
Chronological age - ( biological age from birth)

9. wide variety of intelligence tests are
available. They can be categorized as
individual or group tests, on the basis of their
administration procedure and can be
categorized as verbal or non verbal test on
basis of nature of items used.

10. Verbal Intelligence refers to specific human
language based skills which are considered to
reflect latent general abilities. A person’s
Verbal Intelligence is assessed involving
receptive and/or expressive spoken
language.
Non-Verbal Intelligence- describes thinking
skills and problem solving abilities that do
not fundamentally require verbal language
production and comprehensions.
Performance Test :- Koh’s block Test,

of theories to explain the nature of
intelligence.
Here are some of the major theories of

13. British psychologists Charles Spearman
described a concept he referred to as general
intelligence or the G factor.
After using a technique known as factor
analysis to examine some mental aptitude
test, spearman concluded that scores on
these tests were remarkably similar i.e People
who performed well on one cognitive test
performed well on other tests, while those
who scored bad on one tests tend to score
bad in others as well.

14. द्धस्पयरमन या इंद्धिश मानसशास्त्रज्ाने 1904 मध्ये हा तसिांत मांडला. या तसिांतानुसार बुद्धिमत्तेचे
दोन प्रकारचे घटक मानले जातात. अ. सामान्य घटक (General factor or G) ब.

Intelligence = G+ S-1 + S2 + S3 + S4........

19. Psychologists Robert Sternberg defined
intelligence as Mental activity directed toward
purposive adaptation to , selection , and shaping
of real world environments relevant to one’s life.
Sternberg’s proposed 3 different Factor theory ,
he also referred it as successful intelligence
1. Analytical intelligence- Problem solving abilities
2. Creative intelligence- ability to deal with new
situation using past experiences.
3. Practical intelligence- ability to adapt to
changing environment.
