La historia narra la vida de una familia pobre que vive en una pequeña cabaña y es ridiculizada por una familia rica vecina. 3. The Little Cottage of the Fish

Once upon a time there was a little store cottage. The people
who lived there were very poor and all their clothes were all
torn and tattered. They lived next to a big rich family who
teased them because they didn’t have as much money as they
did. But one strange day the poor family with the young boy
called Alexander Bagney and Chris Bagney, the dad, were out
skimming stones on the lake. Alexander saw a fish on the lake
and called his mum, Alison Bagney, to come and witness this
amazing creature. It looked alone so Alexander Bagney
scooped up the colourful fish but the rich family, Britney, Rose
and Stephen Greenson wanted the fish. Alexander threw on
his tattered brown cardigan to cover the holes in his top and
went to the fridge to hide the fish.

Érase una vez una pequeña cabaña. Las personas que vivían allí eran
muy pobres y todas sus ropas estaban rotas y andrajosas. Vivían junto
a una gran rica familia que se burlaban de ellos porque no tenían tanto
dinero. Pero un día extraño, la familia pobre con su hijo llamado
Alexander Bagney y su papá, Chris Bagney, estaban afuera de la cabaña
lanzando piedras al lago cuando de pronto, Alexander vio a un pez en
el lago y llamó a su madre, Alison Bagney, para que viniera a presenciar
esta criatura asombrosa, un hermoso pez de colores. El pez parecía tan
solo que Alexander Bagney lo cogió fácilmente, pero la familia rica,
Britney, Rose y Stephen Greenson, que también habían visto al pez,
querían poseerlo también. Alexander se puso su chaqueta marrón
andrajosa para cubrir los agujeros de su camisa en donde escondía al
pez y se fue a la nevera para ocultarlo.
