La pereza es la negligencia, la falta de
ganas o de disposición a la hora de la
realización de determinadas tareas,
actividades, acciones o movimientos.
La pereza en este sentido es
normalmente asociada con conceptos
como ser: holgazanería, flojera,
haraganería, entre otros.
Tradicionalmente, a las personas que se niegan a hacer alguna
actividad, que sí o sí deberían llevar a cabo, porque las
circunstancias se los exigen, tal es caso por ejemplo de negarse a
trabajar, se las designa popularmente como vagos. Las razones por
las cuales un individuo se niega a la realización de una actividad
como la señalada de trabajar, puede deberse a múltiples
circunstancias: mala alimentación , enfermedad o simplemente
porque consideran que la actividad en cuestión no les reporta un
beneficio; especialmente en este último caso podemos encuadrar
a la pereza.
Entre las causas más comunes por las que las personas no se
implican en un trabajo o actividad, cuando no median
enfermedades o mala alimentación, se cuentan las siguientes:
ausencia de beneficio en relación al esfuerzo invertido, falta
de reconocimiento en el trabajo que se realiza, falta de
preparación para llevar a cabo una tarea, ausencia de
motivación, rutina laboral, no reconocimiento de los talentos,
tarea desagradable que causa algún trastorno físico o mental,
dolores de cabeza, de espalda, entre otros.
