Negotiation and Deal – Making. Goal: To make sure that both artist and publisher are
satisfied with the financial outcome of a contract. To
avoid litigation from the onset.
Tactics:
- Understand the artist's motivation: artistic or
monetary?
- Protect those artists with extreme talent but minimal

- Continue to pursue a "deal" for my own company and
learn from that experience.

Product and Artist Management Goal: To learn how to accurately describe and articulate a
product or artist to the public so as to help ensure their
success.
Tactics:
- Conduct an initial interview. Discern desired outcome.
What is their end goal?
- Learn to manage people outside of the scope of the
typical corporate environment. Continue to realize that a
paycheck is not necessarily the driver of their actions.
- Practice patience with those at odds with my own
desired outcomes.
