Historias de la Biblia: Escuchar a Dios - Bible Stories: Hearing from God
1.
2. God Speaks to Noah
One day God told Noah, “I’m
going to punish the people
because the earth is filled with
violence. A great flood will cover
the whole world.” God told Noah
to build a big boat called an ark.
Noah obeyed God. He and his
three sons built the ark just as
God had told them to do.
Dios habla a Noé
Un día Dios le dijo a Noé “Debo
castigar a la gente porque han
llenado la tierra de violencia. Un
gran diluvio cubrirá toda la
tierra”. Dios le dijo a Noé que
construyera un gran bote llamado
arca.
Noé obedeció a Dios. El y sus tres
hijos construyeron la barca justo
como Dios les había dicho.
3. After the flood, God blessed
Noah and his sons. He told
them, "I am putting a
rainbow in the sky as a sign
of My promise to never send
a flood of water to cover the
whole earth again.“
Después del diluvio, Dios
bendijo a Noé y a sus hijos.
Les dijo: "He puesto mi arco
iris en las nubes. Esa es la
señal de mi pacto. Nunca
más las aguas de un diluvio
volverán a destruir a todos
los seres vivos."
4. God Speaks to Abraham
Many years after the flood, God
spoke to a man named Abraham.
God told him, "Leave your country
and family and go to the land I will
show you. I will bless you and
make you a great nation. All
families on earth will be blessed
because of you.“
Dios habla a Abraham
Muchos años después del diluvio,
Dios habló a un hombre llamado
Abraham. Dios le dijo: “Deja tu
tierra y tu familia y ve a la tierra
que yo te mostraré. Te bendeciré y
haré de ti una gran nación. Todas
las familias de la tierra serán
benditas por ti”.
5. So Abraham obeyed God. He took
his wife, Sarah, together with all of
his servants and everything he
owned and went to the land God
showed him, the land of Canaan.
God spoke to Abraham again and
promised that he would have as
many descendants as the stars in
the sky. Abram believed God's
promise.
cielo. Abraham creyó la promesa
de Dios.
6. God kept His promise. Sarah,
Abraham’s wife, bore him
Isaac, the forefather of the
Jews. And Sarah's
handmaiden, Hagar, bore him
Ishmael, forefather of the
Arabs.
Dios cumplió Su promesa.
Sara, la esposa de Abraham,
dio a luz a Isaac, antepasado
de los judíos. Y la sierva de
Sara, Agar, engendró a Ismael,
padre de los árabes.
7. “Speak, Lord, Your Servant Listens”
Little Samuel served the Lord by helping Eli the priest. One night, while Samuel was sleeping, God called
him. Samuel sat up in his bed and answered, “Speak, Lord. As Your servant, I am listening”. God then
spoke to Samuel with an important message.
Samuel grew up serving the Lord and later became one of the most important prophets and judges in
the history of Israel.
“Habla, que tu siervo escucha”
El niño Samuel servía a Dios bajo
la dirección de Elí. Una noche,
Dios llamó a Samuel por su
nombre.
—¡Samuel, Samuel! —dijo Dios.
8. Peter's Vision
Peter went up on the flat roof to pray and saw a vision. In his vision, the sky opened and something
like a large sheet was let down by its four corners. In the sheet were all sorts of animals, reptiles, and
birds. Then a voice said to him, “Get up, Peter; kill and eat them.”
“No, Lord,” Peter declared. “I have never eaten anything that our Jewish laws have declared impure
and unclean.”
But the voice spoke again: “Do not call something unclean if God has made it clean.”
decía: «¡Pedro, mata y come de
estos animales!»
Pedro respondió: «¡No, Señor, de
ninguna manera! Nuestra ley no nos
permite comer carne de esos
animales.»
9. As Peter was puzzling over the vision, the Holy Spirit said to him, “Three men have come looking for
you. Get up, go downstairs, and go with them without hesitation. Don’t worry, for I have sent them.”
The next day Peter went with them to Caesarea, were Cornelius, a Roman captain, was waiting for
them together with his relatives and close friends. Peter said to them, "You know it is against our laws for
a Jewish man to enter into the home of a non-Jewish family like this or to associate with you. But God
has shown me that I should no longer think of anyone as impure or unclean. God shows no favoritism. In
every nation he accepts those who fear him and do what is right.
Baja y vete
con ellos. No te preocupes, porque yo los he
enviado.»
10. Jesus Speaks to Paul
Paul did not believe in Jesus, and so he persecuted the believers. He went from house to house in
Jerusalem to arrest both men and women and to put them in prison.
While Paul was on his way to Damascus, a bright light from heaven shone all around him, and he fell to
the ground. Paul heard someone say, "Paul! Paul! Why do you persecute me?" Paul asked, "Who are you,
Master?" Jesus replied to him, "I am Jesus. You are persecuting me!"
Jesús habla a Pablo
Pablo no creía en Jesús y
por lo tanto perseguía a los
creyentes. El iba de casa en
casa en Jerusalén, para
arrestar tanto a hombres
como a mujeres y llevarles a
prisión.
Mientras Pablo iba por el
camino hacia Damasco, una
gran luz del cielo brilló a su
alrededor, y él cayó al suelo.
Pablo oyó a alguien decir:
“¡Pablo! ¡Pablo! ¿Por qué me
persigues?”. Pablo contestó:
“¿Quién eres Señor?” Jesús
le contestó: “Yo soy Jesús. Tú
me estás persiguiendo.”
11. Paul’s sight was restored after a Christian prayed for him and from that point on Paul became the
most dynamic of the early Christians.
Many years later, Paul was arrested in Jerusalem. That night the Lord appeared to Paul and said, “Be
encouraged, Paul. Just as you have been a witness to me here in Jerusalem, you must preach the Good
News in Rome as well.”
For two years, Paul lived in Rome. He welcomed all who visited him, boldly proclaiming the Kingdom
of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ. And no one tried to stop him.
cristianos.
Muchos años despues, Pablo
fue arrestado en Jerusalén. Esa
noche el Señor se le apareció a
Pablo y le dijo: «Ten ánimo,
Pablo. Así como has sido mi
testigo aquí en Jerusalén,
también debes predicar la
Buena Noticia en Roma».
Durante dos años Pablo
vivió en Roma. Recibía a todos
los que lo visitaban, y
proclamaba con valentía el
reino de Dios y enseñaba
acerca del Señor Jesucristo; y
nadie intentó detenerlo.
