Circuit
Exposed wires are unsafe. Many people are
hurt or killed by shocks from common
household circuits. The soles of your shoes will
normally protect you from an electrical shock.

3. Grounding.
The third prong, which is round, connects the
metal shell of an appliance to the ground wire
of a building.
A lightning rod is a metal rod mounted on the
roof of a building in order to protect the
building.

4. Fuses and Circuit
breakers
In order to prevent circuits from overheating,
devices called fuses and circuit breakers are
added to circuits.

5. Electric shock.
The severity of an electric shock depends on the
current
