The checklist details the stepsof preparation that occupants should take toensure
a successful remediation.This checklist mustbe covered thoroughly with the
occupants. Prior to start of the treatment allitems must be reviewed by the
technician to verify compliance. Corrective measuresshall be taken if steps are not
fully completed.
• Remove all trash, loose paper and smallitems fromthe floor. This includes
under beds, behind dressers and closetfloors. Loose items can damage our
equipment.
• Vacuum all carpets right up to the wallbase (using anangle vacuum hose
to get close to the edges). Wash tile or wood floors before treatment. This is
a must.
• Remove all cardboard boxes used for storage and throw away. Replace
with plastic tubswith lidsclosed or large plastic bags tied tightly. All bags
must not have holesin them.
• All clothes in dressersand closets must be bagged and tied tightly. No holes in
bags. All drawersshould be emptiedfrom clothes and papers. Place all bags in
the middle of the living room or in the bathtub. Drawers will be pulled outand
stacked so treatment canpenetrate behind openings.
• No clothes are allowed to be stored in suitcases; they must be removed and
placed in plasticbags. Suitcases stay in the roomsand remain openfor
treatment.
• All books, magazines and papers mustbe bagged and after treatment, must
be shaken out over the tub before being replaced.
• Leave all electronics in the rooms; they will not be affected by the
treatment.
• Remove oil paintings and place them in onelocation for special treatment.

• All clothes must be washed after treatment.
• Remove all pets from theunit.
• Remove all items fromtops of dressers and end tables of each room being
heated. Placein a plastic bagwithout holes.
• Remove linens from the beds.Remove any plasticcoverings fromthe
mattresses and boxsprings that came from the manufacture.
• All window treatmentmade of cloth should beremoved for cleaning
whether by washing machine or dry cleaning. Place inplastic bags until
cleaning permits.
• Remove window blinds and place them in the closet.
• After treatment hasbeen performed mattress and box springcovers must
be put on. Theseare made of nylon and havezippers on them. Not the
fitted covers that just pull over thecorners.
• If math-esses are made of vinyl, then only the box springs need to be
covered.
• Place all tied bags in the middle of the living room. You may place bags in
the bathtub.
• PPS will refuse treatment to any unit not
properly prepared prior to treatment.Your
unit will be pre inspected the day before and
it must be ready then.
You must be ready to leave at 7am. PPSwill notwait for you to get ready.
This treatment takes all day long and any delay in the starttime thelonger it
will be before you may returnto your unit.
You may not bein the unit during treatment. Cords,wires, machinesand
chemicals will be throughout and there would be a possibility of you getting
hurt.
We will give you the approximate timewe will be done once we arrive on the
day of the service.

Preparation for this treatment is key to the successof eliminating bedbugs. The following is a
list of procedures for your clothes.
1. Put all clothes, linens, drapery or cloth in plastic bags and tightly seal to be washed or dry
cleaned. Thisshould also include shoes,coats and hats.
2. Room should be empty, except furniture.
3. Bring only one load of clothes to the washing area or to the cleaners at a time.
4. Wash each load with hotsoapy water.
5. Destroy each bag that you bringto the washingarea after you have putclothes in washer. Do
not re-use these bags after cleaning.
6. Put clothes indryer immediately after washing. Drying timeshould be at least 20 minutes
beyond finished cycle, as this final process should eliminate any surviving bedbugs. Heat
should be at or above140 degrees.
7. Put newlywashed clothes innew bags ineither living roomor the dining room.
