Global journalism encompasses 3 different perspectives on the practice of journalism: (1) the globalized approach to reporting elaborated by scholar Peter Berglez; (2) studies of how journalists differ in different countries; and (3) the practice of "foreign correspondence" or international reporting. This presentation by professor Mindy McAdams explains the distinctions among the 3 approaches. This presentation was given to journalists, students and others in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, and Jakarta, West Java, in July 2012, and includes some examples specific to Indonesia.
