This magnificent psalm, unparalleled in the themes of God's omniscience, omnipresence, and Omnipotence, bears the title "Psalm of David." . It is divided into four parts, as usually indicated in our versions: I. Omniscience of God (vv. 1–6). II. Omnipresence of God (vv. 7–12). III. Omnipotence of God (vv. 13–16). IV. The psalmist then bursts forth: 1. In expressions of admiration for God (vv. 17, 18). 2. Of indignation against the wicked (vv. 19–22). 3. Of confession of his own integrity (vv. 23, 24).
3. 19 De cierto, oh Dios, harás morir al impío;
Apartaos, pues, de mí, hombres
sanguinarios.20 Porque blasfemias dicen ellos
contra ti; Tus enemigos toman en vano tu
nombre.
19 If only you, God, would slay the wicked! Away
from me, you who are bloodthirsty! 20 They speak of
you with evil intent; your adversaries misuse your

aborrezco por completo; los tengo por enemigos.
21 Do I not hate those who hate you, Lord, and
abhor those who are in rebellion against you? 22 I
have nothing but hatred for them;
I count them my enemies.
5. 23 Examíname, oh Dios, y conoce mi corazón;
pruébame y conoce mis pensamientos; 24 Y ve si
hay en mí camino de perversidad, y guíame en el
camino eterno.
23 Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and
know my anxious thoughts. 24 See if there is any
offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting.
7. Oh Jehová, tú me has examinado y conocido.
2 Tú has conocido mi sentarme y mi levantarme;
Has entendido desde lejos mis pensamientos.
1 You have searched me, Lord, and you know me.
2 You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive
my thoughts from afar.
8. Has escudriñado mi andar y mi reposo, y todos mis
caminos te son conocidos. 4 Pues aún no está la
palabra en mi lengua, y he aquí, oh Jehová, tú la
sabes toda.
3 You discern my going out and my lying down; you
are familiar with all my ways. 4 Before a word is on
my tongue you, Lord, know it completely.
9. 5 Detrás y delante me rodeaste, y sobre mí
pusiste tu mano. 6 Tal conocimiento es
demasiado maravilloso para mí; alto es, no
lo puedo comprender.
5 You hem me in behind and before, and you lay
your hand upon me. 6 Such knowledge is too
wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain.
10. 14 ¿A quién consultó el Señor para ilustrarse y quién
le enseñó el camino de la justicia? ¿Quién le
impartió conocimiento o le hizo conocer la senda de
la inteligencia?
Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and
who taught him the right way? Who was it that
taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of
understanding?
12. 7 ¿A dónde me iré de tu Espíritu? ¿Y a dónde
huiré de tu presencia? 8 Si subiere a los cielos,
allí estás tú; y si en el Seol hiciere mi estrado, he
aquí, allí tú estás.
7 Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I
flee from your presence? 8 If I go up to the
heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the
depths, you are there.
13. 9 Si tomare las alas del alba y habitare en el
extremo del mar, 10 Aun allí me guiará tu mano,
y me asirá tu diestra.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the
far side of the sea, 10 even there your hand will guide
me, your right hand will hold me fast.
14. 11 Si dijere: Ciertamente las tinieblas me encubrirán;
aun la noche resplandecerá alrededor de mí. 12 Aun
las tinieblas no encubren de ti, y la noche
resplandece como el día; lo mismo te son las
tinieblas que la luz.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the
light become night around me,” 12 even the darkness
will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as
15. 13 Porque tú formaste mis entrañas; Tú me
hiciste en el vientre de mi madre. 14 Te alabaré;
porque formidables, maravillosas son tus obras;
Estoy maravillado, Y mi alma lo sabe muy bien.
13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me
together in my mother’s womb. 14 I praise
you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful, I know that full well.
16. 15 No fue encubierto de ti mi cuerpo, bien que en
oculto fui formado, y entretejido en lo más profundo
de la tierra. 16 Mi embrión vieron tus ojos, y en tu
libro estaban escritas todas aquellas cosas que
fueron luego formadas, sin faltar una de ellas.
15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was
made in the secret place, when I was woven
together in the depths of the earth. 16 Your eyes saw
my unformed body; all the days ordained for me
17. 17 ¡Cuán preciosos me son, oh Dios, tus
pensamientos! ¡Cuán grande es la suma de ellos!
18 Si los enumero, se multiplican más que la
arena; despierto, y aún estoy contigo.
17 How precious to me are your thoughts, God! How
vast is the sum of them! 18 Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand - when I
awake, I am still with you.
