The simple future tense is used:
To describe actions or events that will take place in the future
Alberto y Mateo comprarán un coche este verano. Irán a la playa (Alberto and Mateo
will buy a car this summer. They will go to the beach.)
To forecast and make predictions
Mañana lloverá en el norte. (Tomorrow it will rain in the north.)
To wonder about, to guess, to express probability, or to make a supposition about the
present. Use the Spanish future tense to express these English words: wonder,
probably, could, may, might, must, must be, wonder, think, bet, suppose, guess.
-¿Qué hora será? (I wonder what time it is?)
- Serán las dos. (It’s probably two o’clock.)
- ¿Qué hora es? (What time is it?)
- No sé. No tengo reloj. Serán las dos. (It’s probably two o’clock.)
