2. When God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, He told them, “You may freely eat
the fruit of every tree in the garden— except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”
However, Adam and Eve disobeyed God. Because they disobeyed, God sent Adam and Eve
away from the beautiful garden.
Cuando Dios puso al
Adán y Eva en el jardín de
Edén, claramente les dijo:
«Puedes comer de todos
los árboles que hay en el
jardín, pero no del árbol del
conocimiento del bien y del
mal.».
Pero Eva y Adán
desobedecieron a Dios.
Debido a su pecado, Dios
sacó a Adán y Eva del
hermoso jardín.

3. Los habitantes de Nínive
eran muy malos y egoístas.
Un día, Dios dijo a su
profeta Jonás que
advirtiera a la gente de
Nínive que dejara de ser
tan aprovechada y egoísta.
The people of Nineveh were
selfish and mean. God told
his prophet Jonah to warn
them that they needed to
stop being so mean and
selfish.

4. Pero Jonás, no
queriendo hacer eso,
desobedeció y trato de
esconderse de Dios. Se
embarcó en un velero
que estaba yendo a un
lugar muy alejado de
Nínive.
El Señor no estaba
feliz con Jonás y
mando una gran
tempestad. ¡Los
marineros estaban
aterrorizados!
But Jonah did not want to go to Nineveh, so he disobeyed and tried to run away from God.
He got on a ship that was sailing far away from Nineveh.
God was not happy with Jonah and sent a big storm. The sailors were terrified!

5. Jonás les dijo, —
Por mi causa ha
venido esta gran
tempestad sobre
ustedes. Tómenme
y láncenme al
mar, y el mar se
calmará.
Tomaron pues a
Jonás y lo
lanzaron al mar.
Inmediatamente
el mar cesó en su
furia.
Jonah told them, “The storm is my fault. Throw me into the sea and the storm will stop.”
The sailors threw Jonah in the ocean and the storm immediately stopped!

6. Dios mando un gran pez
para tragar a Jonás.
Jonás se quedo en el pez
por tres días.
God sent a big fish to
swallow Jonah. Jonah
was in the fish for
three days.

7. El Señor dio orden
al pez, y éste
escupió a Jonás en
tierra firme. Una
vez mas, Dios le dijo
a Jonás que fuera a
Nínive.
God told the fish
to spit Jonah out
on dry land. Then
God asked Jonah
again to go to
Nineveh.

8. Jonás se
levantó y fue
a Nínive. Los
habitantes
hicieron caso
a Jonás.
Estaban
arrepentidos
por sus
pecados y
Dios les
perdonó.
Jonah went to Nineveh as God had asked him to. The people of Nineveh listened to Jonah.
They were sorry for their sins and God forgave them.

9. One day while walking by the Sea of Galilee, Jesus saw four fishermen. Jesus called out to
them, “Come and follow Me and be My disciples.” And they immediately left everything to
follow Jesus.
Un día, mientras
caminaba a orillas
del Mar de Galilea,
Jesús vio cuatro
pescadores. Jesús los
llamó: “Vengan y
síganme, y sean Mis
discípulos.” Y los
hombres salieron de
inmediato de la
barca y siguieron a
Jesús.

10. Later, Jesus saw a man named Matthew collecting taxes for Rome. Jesus said to him,
“Follow Me!” and Matthew immediately left everything and followed Jesus.
Más tarde,
Jesús vio a un
hombre
llamado Mateo,
que estaba
sentado
cobrando
impuestos para
el gobierno de
Roma. Jesús le
dijo:
«Sígueme», y
Mateo de
inmediato se
levantó y lo
siguió.

11. Jesus said, “Anyone who listens
to Me and obeys Me is like a
wise man who built a house
on solid rock.
Jesús dijo, “Si alguien se acerca
a Mí, y escucha lo que Yo
enseño y Me obedece, es como
un hombre sabio que construyó
su casa sobre la roca.

12. The flood came and
the river rushed
against the house, but
it was built so well
that it didn’t even
shake!
Cuando vino una
inundación, la
corriente de agua
pegó muy fuerte
contra la casa. Pero la
casa no se movió,
porque estaba bien
construida.

13. But anyone who hears
what I say and doesn’t
obey Me is like a
foolish man who builds
his house on the sand.
En cambio, el que
escucha lo que yo
enseño y no me
obedece, es como un
hombre necio que
construyó su casa
sobre terreno blando.

14. When the flood came
and the river rushed
against the house, it
was smashed to pieces!
Vino la corriente de
agua y pegó muy fuerte
contra la casa y la casa
enseguida se vino abajo
y se hizo pedazos.
