SLIDE NOTES
With users increasingly accessing library managed content from discovery services like Summon and Ex Libris Primo Central, or through open web sites like PubMed and Google Scholar, the document page takes on special meaning as a landing page. In fact our own analytical data shows that approximately 50% of users are accessing documents on ProQuest directly from discovery services.
Thus, the document page now must also serve as a jump off point for related research, in addition to its primary role of providing the user with the expected content in readable and easily digestable format.

SLIDE NOTES
The new ProQuest design framework is responsive. This means the display will adjust to the user’s device. For a better experience, non-essential functionalities are removed as dictated by the device size so that ease of use and access to content is improved.
Most researchers start their research on open web sites.ProQuest customers will benefit from seamless IP authentication from open web access sites into the ProQuest platform & content. Benefit =
Through usage logs and customer feedback, it was clear that remote users were having a hard time connecting to ProQuest from the login page. The main reason for this was because they were confusing it with the ProQuest account login form, which for many users appeared to be the only authentication option on the page, while the link to access ProQuest remotely through their institution was less conspicuous and difficult for users to find.
To reduce this confusion, we've redesigned the login page (search.proquest.com/login), as shown here, to make it easier for remote users to authenticate into ProQuest by adding the "Connect through your library or institution" form above the ProQuest account form.
