11. ¡Es hora del EXAMEN!
Discuss the carbon footprint that each
person is leaving on the earth. Interview
your partner to find out about some of the
problems in the environment, what they
are doing to help, what they think they
could/should do to help and what they can
do in the future. What impact does your
partner have on our environment?
12. 1. Once you have your partner, pick up the
Speaking Test (everyone needs one) and
Google Voice Instructions paper (one per
group).
2. Look over the rubric to see what you
NEED to do in the conversation to
EARN the grade you want.
3. Jot down some notes to use (YOU MAY
NOT USE YOUR NOTES!!!)
4. Complete speaking test in hallway.

Qs will come up 1 at a time - brainstorm as a class of different problems (IL/US) then the causes of those problems. Pose the question who has the responsibility and what they and their families can do to protect/conserve the environment to eliminate these problems - this is what they will be discussing in their speaking test.
Identify problem as a class - where/when does this usually happen?
What/who are the causes of this problem?
What are things they could/should do to help eliminate/prevent this problem?
What are they doing? (talk again about present progressive)
What WILL they do (review from level I future tense)
Have Ss talk about the problem and the causes, what they could/should do, what they are doing and what they will do in the future. Rotate Ss around so they talk to different people.
