1) Calculating the perimeters of various shapes found at crime scenes to determine the amount of crime scene tape needed.
2) Finding the perimeter of the Pokemon refuge training zone and other areas to search for clues about missing objects.
3) Helping the detective recover missing information from his notebook by calculating missing sides and perimeters of shapes.
4) Calculating perimeters of areas in a farm and house plans to help with building projects.
The document discusses building structures in Minecraft and calculating perimeters. It explains that to build in Minecraft or in real life, you must first define the space by knowing the distance around it, which is the perimeter. It provides examples of how perimeter is used to determine materials needed for structures like houses, fences, and football pitches. It poses questions about calculating perimeters of different shapes and deciding which structures have larger perimeters.
This document discusses practicing figure translation by providing a series of figures, some of which were translated and some were not, ending with praise for doing a good job and encouragement to practice more.

The document contains 5 worksheets about translations in mathematics for 3rd grade students. The worksheets provide translation exercises involving points, segments, figures, and the Cartesian plane. Students are asked to identify, perform, and label translations according to given instructions specifying the number of units to move right, left, up or down. The worksheets are meant to help students learn and practice the concept of translations.
This document discusses translations in geometry. It provides examples of translating rectangles by moving them to new positions on a Cartesian plane. Translations only involve moving the figure and do not change its size or shape. The key elements of a translation are that there is a pre-image figure which is moved to create the image figure. Translations specify how far and in what direction each point of a figure moves.
Capacity is how much a container can hold and is measured using units like milliliters and liters with a measuring cup. Length is how long an object is and is measured in millimeters, centimeters or meters using a ruler or tape measure. Mass is how heavy an object is and is measured in grams or kilograms using a scale.
This document provides a lesson on measures of central tendency for 3rd grade mathematics. It discusses mode, range, and examples to find each in data sets. The lesson defines mode as the item that appears most frequently in a data set. It also defines range as the difference between the greatest and smallest number. Students work through practice activities to find the mode and range of various data sets.
How to solve multiplication word problemsJuliecadena
There are three types of multiplication word problems: repeated addition problems, rectangular arrangement problems, and proportion problems. Repeated addition problems involve finding the total by adding multiple sets of the same quantity. Rectangular arrangement problems involve finding the number of combinations between two sets by multiplying the number of elements in each set. Proportion problems involve finding the total for one set that is a specific multiple of another set.
This document contains 6 worksheets for a 2nd grade math class. Each worksheet lists the subject as math, the teacher, groups A through E, space for a student name and average score, and date. The worksheets appear to be for tracking student progress and performance in a 2nd grade math class.
Estimation Workshop for 2nd grade math students focused on solving examples to practice estimation skills. The workshop was divided into groups A through E and had students provide their name and average on worksheets to solve examples.

This document discusses two types of word problems involving multiplication: repeated addition problems and rectangular arrangement problems. Repeated addition problems involve adding a number repeatedly, like having 5 packs with 4 cookies each for a total of 20 cookies. Rectangular arrangement problems involve forming an array to represent combinations, like having 5 types of sauces and 4 types of pasta for a total of 20 possible combinations. The document provides examples and guides the reader in translating and solving sample word problems using repeated addition or rectangular arrangements.
This document contains 5 math worksheets for 2nd grade students on the topics of angles. The worksheets provide pictures and instructions for students to identify different types of angles (right, acute, obtuse). Students are asked to complete charts and sort cards by angle type. They also draw different angles on pictures and highlight angles on stick figures. The worksheets are designed to help students learn to distinguish between right, acute, and obtuse angles.
This document contains 3 worksheets with math problems involving probability concepts like likely, unlikely, certain and equally likely outcomes. The problems ask students to identify the probability of drawing different colored marbles from a bag, choosing different types of cards from a deck, outcomes when spinning a spinner or rolling a dice. Students are asked to describe outcomes as likely, unlikely, certain or impossible. They must also determine the probability of different potential outcomes in various scenarios.
This document provides instructions for a mathematics activity involving polyhedra for 2nd grade students. It asks students to color and identify different polyhedra like cubes, pyramids, and prisms. It also asks students to identify the number of faces, edges, and vertices of shapes. Students are tasked with classifying polyhedra by number of faces and matching polyhedra to their nets. The document contains questions to check students' understanding of polyhedra names and properties.

Elapsed time
1.
3. Time t-shirt
deseada.
4. Ejemplificación
Imaginemos la siguiente situación:
Kelly’s party starts at 4:45pm. The current time is 1:20pm. How much time I have to
wait to start enjoying Kelly’s party?
1:20 Hours and minutes
5. Continuamos agregando horas a la derecha
y escribiendo el resultado a la izquierda:
Continuamos agregando horas:
1:20 Hours and minutes
2:20 +1 hour
1:20 Hours and minutes
2:20 +1 hour
3:20 +1 hour
4:20 +1 hour
Cuando no podemos agregar mas horas
enteras empezamos a agregar minutos de 10
en 10 o de 5 en 5 hasta llegar a la hora
deseada:
1:20 Hours and minutes
2:20 +1 hour
3:20 +1 hour
4:20
4:30
4:40
4:45
+1 hour
+10 mins
+10 mins
+5 mins
derecha. Seguidamente se suman los
minutos.
1:20 Hours and minutes
2:20 +1 hour
3:20 +1 hour
4:20
4:30
4:40
4:45
+1 hour
+10 mins
+10 mins
+5 mins
En este caso tenemos 3 horas y 25 minutos.
Respuesta: I have to wait 3 hours and 25 minutes for the party.
7. Actividades de refuerzo en casa
