17. Sobre la axiomatización del concepto
-Contraposiciones y aportes de distintas tradiciones sociológicas, unas con mayor rigor científico que otras.
-Más que llegar a una axiomatización del concepto, se ha intentado abordar el paradigma del CS a escala micro, meso y macro, lo cual permite
tener acercamientos más acertados por medio de metodologías que se adapten a cada uno de los casos.
-No se ha consensuado su conceptualización, por lo cual el debate sigue abierto, será necesario indagar en la búsqueda de nuevas propuestas
metodológicas, de reorganización y categorización del concepto, para poder disminuir la ambigüedad teórica.
Sobre los efectos del CS
-Promueve la democracia y conduce a gobiernos más eficientes.
-Es un instrumento que fomenta la difusión de innovaciones en materia de salud y educación.
-Contribuye a la legitimación de líderes comunitarios que posibilita que la persona sea conocida y reciba la confianza del grupo para poder
acceder a posibilidades de crecimiento socioeconómico (Figueroa, 2003).
-Efectos positivos del asociacionismo en el desarrollo económico, la productividad, la seguridad de los vecindarios, la democracia, la salud y
la felicidad (Putnam, 2002).
-La literatura señala que el CS que se genera en las redes sociales es más importante para el bienestar subjetivo de las personas (felicidad)
que los bienes materiales (Layard, 2005).

18. Sobre la incidencia del entorno construido
Los estudios de entorno construido demuestran que los barrios proporcionan el contexto a través del cual se nutren las redes sociales,
estos son el motor de la generación de cohesión social. Las personas pasan gran parte de sus vidas dentro de su vecindario local, por lo
tanto, el contexto del vecindario es importante porque proporciona un espacio para desarrollar redes sociales y puede generar un
sentido de unión y cohesión entre los residentes (Hip, 2014). Los espacios de encuentro dentro del barrio como las aceras, los bares y las
áreas comunales son los espacios para el intercambio social, son los lugares donde se fortalece la confianza, se obtienen contactos y se
fortalece la identidad pública de la gente (Jacobs, 2011). Habrá que pensar en formatos de ciudad que contribuyan a la cohesión social y
al intercambio de recursos tangibles e intangibles.
2da etapa Tesis Doctoral
Se plantea hacer un esfuerzo para la construcción de una herramienta que mensure un índice de CS en el territorio barcelonés, la cual se
adapte a los protocolos actuales de obtención de datos, y la cual contribuya al banco de datos actual que se basa en el asociacionismo.
Será necesario agregar datos sobre interacciones vecinales y puntos principales de encuentro, tales como aceras, porteros, áreas
comunales, elevadores, tiendas en planta baja, bares tradicionales, parques, plazas y ramblas, por mencionar algunos.
