Guía Turística del Campo de Gibraltar (2º Eso Bilingüe)

1. Turismo de Los Barrios En el sur de Andalucía y de la Provincia de Cádiz, junto a la Costa del Sol y al Estrecho de Gibraltar está situado el Municipio de Los Barrios. Esta estratégica posición explica su temprano poblamiento que se remonta a la Prehistoria. Los Barrios posee un amplio Término Municipal que se extiende desde la sierra en el Parque Natural Los Alcornocales hasta la orilla del mar.

11. BARREÑO REFRIT Ingrédients: -700 grs. d'un pain du jour antérieur. -1 botte d'asperges. -250 cc. d'une huile d'olive vierge. -2 Kgs. de pommes de terre. -1 tete d'ail. -2 litres d'eau. -1 Kg. de tomates mûres. -Les olives divisées. -L'huile d'olive pour frire les pommes de terre. Elaboration: Couper en tranches pain et réserver pour aprés. Mettre dans une casserole l'huile, dorer les ails piqués, tout de suite ajouter l'oignon et le piment coupés en petits dés, laisser cuisiner et en suite ajouter es tomates qu'au préalable nous aurons épluchées et piquées. Laisser frire jusqu'à ce que le liquide soit consommé, ajouter l'eau. Quand elle se mettra à bouillir, incorporer les asperges que nous aurons coupées en miettes, en employant seulement les parties tendres. Pendant ce temps on fait dans l'huile d'olive les pommes de terre coupées en dés. Nous mettons finelement les pommes de terre au ragoût et nous ajoutons les oeufs battus dans la soupe. Nous rectifions de sel, maintenant nous mettrons une couche de pain et avec un peu de soupe. Servir un chorreón d'huile d'olive et des olives divisées.

12. RIZ AU HOMARD Préparation: Nous devons commencer à partir du homard. La tête est réduit de moitié et de la colle ou par deux ou en tranches. Ceci est la partie la plus difficile de la recette parce que vous avez à le faire quand le homard est vivant. Propres jus de prédateur du homard qui doit être valorisée autant que possible. Il met un peu d'huile et à chaud, mettez les morceaux de langouste: en rond et des réserves. Ensuite, dans la même huile qui a déjà de jus de fruits de mer, l'ail est doré, ajouter les tomates et des piments. Lorsque la sauce est faite, ajouter le riz, le vertige et ajouter le bouillon de poisson ou d'eau. Puisque le riz est sec, ajoutez deux fois le volume de bouillon de riz, sinon soupy, serait ajouter trois parties d'eau ou un bouillon de riz. Lorsque le bouillon est à demi consumés, salés et ajouter les coquillages réservé et du safran Lorsque le liquide consommer, laisser reposer quelques minutes et est prêt à boire. Ingrédients: • 2 homard • 500 gr de riz de la pompe • 4 gousses d'ail, filetés • Un fait dés de tomates mûres • 2 piments ou poivrons choriceros • stocks de poisson ou de l'eau • un peu d'huile • du safran • sel

15. FEBRUARY FEBRUARY: This is the Carnival month (and is also marked by the beginning of Lent). The festival is celebrated throughout the entire month particularly in Algeciras, San Roque, Tarifa and La Línea, with fancy dress, processions, dances, parades, parties..

16. MARCH AND APRIL MARCH/APRIL: These months stand out for their traditional Holy Week festivities, a period which is highly celebrated in the region. Proof of this is the widespread presence at each processional milestone. The streets are full of holy images and processions. In addition Los Barrios plays host to the festival of the “Toro Embolao” which coincides with Easter Sunday.

17. MAY MAY: One of the most festive months in the region. For example in Castellar, the first Sunday of the month sees the saint’s day celebrations of the same name in the grounds of the Convento de la Almoraima, in addition to its fair, which is visited by people from all over the region. Furthermore, May is the month of flowers and includes various floral tributes to the virgins in localities such as Algeciras and Los Barrios, not to forget the annual Fiesta de la Primavera, specially designed for young people with concerts and dances....

18. JUNE JUNE: The Feria Real is held in Algeciras during the fourth week of June, being one of the most important fairs in Andalusia, with its interesting cattle markets, the coronation of the queens of the feria, the traditional processions, the Domingo Rociero (Pentecost) and an entertaining bull-fighting festival with bull runs throughout the entire week, etc. The San Juan Feast Day is celebrated on the 25th in Facinas in the municipality of Tarifa.

19. JULY JULY: The Virgen del Carmen Feast Day is celebrated on the 16th throughout coastal regions such as Algeciras, Tarifa, La Línea and Palmones. In the town of Los Barrios the Feast of the Virgen del Carmen, patron of the seamen, is celebrated with spectacular maritime festivities and neighbourhood night festivals. The Fair begins in La Línea, towards the middle of the month and is also quite well known throughout the area.

20. AUGUST AUGUST: Throughout the month it is possible to enjoy a range of traditional festivals; in San Roque, the Feria Real is held in the second week of the month with processions, “toro del aguardiente”, their famous bullfighting, ... On the 15th, Algeciras celebrates the feast day of their patron Santa María de la Palma, with a traditional maritime pilgrimage during which the virgin's image is taken from a cave at 20 metres below sea level known as the “ Cueva de los Bodiones”, later to be placed on a altar on the Rinconcillo Beach. We should also mention the festivals and fair at Jimena which are celebrated during the second week of the month.

21. SEPTEMBER SEPTEMBER: The Fiestas de la Virgen de la Luz are held during the first week of the month in Tarifa, with an interesting pilgrimage to the sanctuary on foot or horseback in addition to a full week’s festival at the municipal fair.
