The Museum of Valladolid has its origins in the Archaeological Gallery established in 1875 in the Museum of Fine Arts of Valladolid, and it is currently housed in the Renaissance palace of Fabio Nelli from the late 16th century. The museum contains a very varied collection of materials ranging from the Paleolithic to the present day, including notable pieces such as a Campaniforme funeral assemblage from 1800-1700 BC.
