showing solid growth and offering innumerable

Projections by the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO)

By 2020, Chile's tourism sector is expected to account for
6% of GDP, up from around 3% at present. It is, moreover,
internationally competitive. In the Travel & Tourism
Competitiveness Index published by the World Economic
Forum (WEF), for example, Chile ranks second in South
America.
Chile has a solid institutional framework and a National
Tourism Strategy that seeks to consolidate tourism as one of
the key sectors for achieving economic and social
development.
