Este documento explica el uso del Presente Simple en inglés. Se usa para hablar de hábitos, verdades generales, situaciones permanentes, instrucciones, y acuerdos presentes o futuros. Tiene estructuras afirmativas con sujeto + verbo, negativas con sujeto + do/does + not + verbo, e interrogativas con palabra + do/does + sujeto + verbo. Incluye ejemplos y un ejercicio para practicar la construcción de oraciones en Presente Simple.

2. Presente Simple
El Presente Simple se usa para:

Hablar de hábitos o rutinas:
– I usually wake up at 6 am.
(Yo usualmente me despierto a las 6 am.)
– Ralph smokes one package of cigarettes a day.
(Rafael fuma un paquete de cigarrillos por día.)

Hablar de verdades generalmente aceptadas:
– Caracas is a crowded city.
(Caracas es una ciudad muy poblada.)

Hablar de situaciones con cierta permanencia en el
tiempo:
– She lives in Los Teques.
(Ella vive en Los Teques.)

También se usa para dar instrucciones o direcciones:

the interview.
