“Un niño empieza a caminar en un mundo extraño, prefiero

5. “....I am poor and naked, but I am the chief of the nation. We do not want riches but we do want to train our
children right. Riches would do us no good. We could not take them with us to the other world. We do not

your heart certain wishes and plans, in my heart he put other and different desires. Each man is good in his sight. It is not
necessary for Eagles to be Crows. We are poor but we are free. No white man controls our footsteps. If we must die...we die
defending our rights.”

banco; pero cuando tenemos un montón de dinero o mantas, los regalamos a otros jefes y sus pueblos, y poco a poco lo
devuelven con intereses, y nuestros corazones se sienten bien. Nuestra manera de dar es nuestro banco”.
“Once I was in Victoria, and I saw a very large house. They told me it was a bank and that the white men place their money
there to be taken care of, and that by and by they got it back with interest. We are Indians and we have no such bank; but
when we have plenty of money or blankets, we give them away to other chiefs and people, and by and by they return them

10. Clement Kwan: "I like my paintings to express happiness. I use my artistic skills to create paintings that will give
people joy and hope... my tool for helping to make the world a better place." Born in China, Clement had his art
training through the Chinese government's fundamental art-training programs in Guangdong. He paints mainly in oils,
combining impressionism with realism. His paintings can be found in museums, private collections, in galleries in the
United States, England and Canada.
Clemente Kwan: “Me gusta que mis cuadros expresen la felicidad. Uso mis habilidades artísticas para crear pinturas
que den a la gente alegría y esperanza ... Mi herramienta para ayudar a hacer del mundo un lugar mejor”. Nacido en
China, tuvo su formación artística a través de programas fundamentales de formación al arte del gobierno chino, en la
provincia de Guangdong. Pinta principalmente al óleo, combinando el impresionismo con el realismo. Sus pinturas se
encuentran en museos, colecciones privadas, en galerías de Estados Unidos, Inglaterra y Canadá.
