2. In Spanish, there are two “moods”
• Indicative mood- used for
something seen as factual: all
verb forms we have learned

• Subjunctive mood- used for
hypothetical or subjective
statements.

3. The subjunctive “mood” is used to:
• express the speaker’s hopes,
desires, opinions, and emotions.
• I’m happy that you are here.
• I hope that he wins the game.
