Jesús enseñó que no deberíamos preocuparnos por las necesidades materiales de la vida, sino confiar en que Dios nos cuidará como cuida de las aves y las flores. Jesús también dijo que los niños son un ejemplo del tipo de fe que se necesita para entrar en el Reino de Dios. Finalmente, Jesús murió en la cruz para salvarnos de nuestros pecados, pero resucitó tres días después para darnos la vida eterna.

2. The Birds and the Flowers
Jesus said, “I tell you not to worry about
everyday life—whether you have enough food
and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Look at
the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store
food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds
them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him
than they are?
Los pájaros y las flores
Jesús dijo, “No se preocupen por la vida diaria,
si tendrán suficiente alimento y bebida, o
suficiente ropa para vestirse. Miren los
pájaros. No plantan ni cosechan ni guardan
comida en graneros, porque el Padre celestial
los alimenta. ¿Y no son ustedes para él mucho
más valiosos que ellos?”

3. “And why worry about your clothing? Look at
the lilies of the field and how they grow. They
don’t work or make their clothing, yet
Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as
beautifully as they are. If God cares so
wonderfully for wildflowers that are here
today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he
will certainly care for you.”
“¿Y por qué preocuparse por la ropa? Miren
cómo crecen los lirios del campo. No trabajan
ni cosen su ropa; sin embargo, ni Salomón
con toda su gloria se vistió tan hermoso
como ellos. Si Dios cuida de manera tan
maravillosa a las flores silvestres que hoy
están y mañana se echan al fuego, tengan por
seguro que cuidará de ustedes.”

4. The Prodigal Son
In one story Jesus told, a young man left
home hoping to make his fortune, but ended
up wasting his share of the family's wealth on
wild living.
El hijo pródigo
En una de Sus parábolas, Jesús cuenta la historia de
un joven que, resuelto a hacer fortuna, se lleva su
parte del patrimonio familiar y lo despilfarra
viviendo perdidamente.

5. Finally, penniless and humbled, the young
man returned to his father's house.
The father ran out to meet him and hugged
and kissed him. He called the servants and
said, “Give my son a new robe! Put a ring
on his finger and shoes on his feet! Let’s eat
and celebrate! My son who was lost has
been found!” So they all celebrated
together.
Luego de tocar fondo, humillado y sin un
céntimo, el joven regresa a la casa de su
padre.
El padre lo vio llegar. Lleno de amor y de
compasión, corrió hacia su hijo, lo abrazó
y lo besó. El padre dijo a los sirvientes:
“Rápido, traigan la mejor túnica que haya
en la casa y vístanlo. Consigan un anillo
para su dedo y sandalias para sus pies.
Tenemos que celebrar con un banquete,
porque este hijo mío estaba perdido y
ahora ha sido encontrado”. Entonces
comenzó la fiesta.1

6. In this story, Jesus was describing
God's kindness toward us. No
matter what has happened or
what will happen, you will never
lose your value in God’s eyes. To
Him, you will always be priceless.
En esta historia Jesús retrata la
benevolencia de Dios hacia Sus
hijos. Ocurra lo que ocurra, jamás
perderás su valor a los ojos de
Dios. Para Él, tu tienes un valor
enorme.

7. Jesus Blesses the Children
One day some parents brought their children to Jesus so he could touch and bless them. But the
disciples scolded the parents for bothering him.
When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children
come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these
children.” Then he took the children in his arms and placed his hands on their heads and blessed them.
Jesús bendice a los niños
Cierto día, algunos padres llevaron a sus
niños a Jesús para que los tocara y los
bendijera, pero los discípulos regañaron
a los padres por molestarlo.
Cuando Jesús vio lo que sucedía, se
enojó con sus discípulos y les dijo:
«Dejen que los niños vengan a mí. ¡No
los detengan! Pues el reino de Dios
pertenece a los que son como estos
niños.». Entonces tomó a los niños en
sus brazos y después de poner sus
manos sobre la cabeza de ellos, los
bendijo.

8. Jesus Dies for Us
Jesus went about everywhere doing good. — Helping people, loving children, healing heartaches,
strengthening tired bodies, and bringing God's Love to all whom He could.
Some of the religious leaders called Pharisees became jealous. They falsely accused Jesus and conspired,
successfully, to force the governor to order Jesus’ execution.
Jesús da su vida por nosotros
Jesús fue por todas partes haciendo el
bien, ayudando a la gente,
interesándose por los niños,
consolando, fortaleciendo a los
cansados y salvando a cuantos creían
en Él.
Algunos de los dirigentes religiosos —
los fariseos— se pusieron envidiosos
de Él. Lo acusaron falsamente y
lograron forzar al gobernador Romano
a ordenar la ejecución de Jesús.

9. Jesus didn't have to die on the cross, but He chose to die. — For you and me!
All of us at times have done wrong and our mistakes and sins separate us from God, Who is perfect. In
order to bring us to God, Jesus, the Son of God, took the punishment for our sins, that through His
sacrifice, we can be forgiven and saved.
Jesús no tuvo que morir,
pero optó por ofrendar
la vida por ti y por mí.
Todos sin excepción
hemos actuado mal en
ocasiones y nuestros
pecados nos separan de
Dios, el cual es
absolutamente perfecto.
Jesús asumió entonces el
castigo que merecíamos
para que por medio de
Su sacrificio halláramos
perdón y remisión de
nuestros pecados.

10. Joseph and Nicodemus, two
Jewish leaders who believed
Jesus was the Messiah, wrapped
Jesus’ body in cloth and placed it
in a tomb cut out of rock. Then
they rolled a large stone in front
of the tomb to block the opening.
Three days after His lifeless body
was laid to rest in that cold tomb,
Jesus rose from the dead!
José y Nicodemo, dos líderes
judíos que creían que Jesús era el
Mesías, envolvieron el cuerpo de
Jesús en una tela y lo colocaron
en un sepulcro cavado en la roca.
Luego hicieron rodar una gran
piedra frente a la tumba para
bloquear la abertura.
Tres días después que Su cuerpo
fuera depositado en aquel frío
sepulcro, ¡Jesús resucitó!

11. After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to His followers. He
told them that He was going to return to be with His
heavenly Father, but that He would always be with them in
spirit, living in their hearts forever. He also gave His followers
a wonderful promise, saying, “One day I will come again.”
You can have Jesus and His heavenly love in your heart right
now by simply praying this little prayer:
Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God and that You died
for me. Please forgive me for all my sins and give me Your gift
of eternal life. Amen.
Después de Su resurrección, Jesús apareció a Sus seguidores.
Les dijo que se aprestaba a reunirse una vez más con Su
Padre celestial, pero que siempre los acompañaría en
espíritu, que viviría en sus corazones eternamente. Hizo
también a Sus seguidores una promesa maravillosa: les
aseguró que un día regresaría.
Puedes tener ahora mismo a Jesús y Su amor celestial en tu
corazón con sólo rezar esta sencilla oración:
Jesús, creo de corazón que eres el Hijo de Dios y que moriste
por mí. Te ruego que me perdones todos mis pecados y me
concedas el don de la vida eterna. Amén.
