3. Costumbres: Costom:
Las costumbres Bolivianas provienen de una
amplia variedad de orígenes, incluyendo los
antiguos grupos indígenas, los españoles
católicos y la cultura tradicional andina.
Los bolivianos están orientados generalmente
a la familia y las personas a menudo están muy
unidas, con todas las generaciones que
conviven bajo un mismo techo. El matrimonio
es una parte importante de la sociedad,
especialmente en las comunidades rurales,
donde cada uno lo espera. Algunas
comunidades creen en la convivencia y forman
una familia antes de la ceremonia del
matrimonio, mientras que otras siguen la
tradición más católica de que el matrimonio
sea el primer paso.
The Bolivian customs come from a wide
variety of origins, including the ancient
indigenous groups, the Spanish Catholics
and the traditional Andean culture.
Bolivians are generally oriented to the family
and people are often very close, with all the
generations that coexist under one roof.
Marriage is an important part of society,
especially in rural communities, where
everyone expects it. Some communities
believe in coexistence and form a family
before the marriage ceremony, while others
follow the more Catholic tradition that
marriage is the first step

La Feria de Alastia es una feria
artesanal en la ciudad de La Paz,
Bolivia y cuya característica
principal es la venta de miniaturas
con la finalidad ritual de que las
mismas se conviertan en realidad.
Bicentenario de Bolivia:
The Bicentennial of Bolivia is considered in
Bolivia the beginning of independence by the
Chuquisaca Revolution of 1809. The year 2025
will celebrate the bicentennial of the
declaration of the independence of the
Republic of Bolivia.
5. Carnaval:
Es una celebración caracterizada
por el sincretismo religioso y
cultural. Por una parte, se tiene la
tradición grecorromana, de más
de 2000 años de antiguedad,que
se transformó a lo largo de los
siglos con el catolicismo; por otra
parte están las tradiciones locales,
como la fiesta de Ito, con sus
propias características,
transformadas en ritual cristiano.
Año nuevo Aymara – Solsticio de Invierno:
The arrival of the new year is celebrated with rituals,
propitiatory tables, q'uwas, dances, tickets of native
dances, rites and music concerts. The most
important ceremony is concentrated in the
archaeological center of Tiwanaku. Also in the city
of La Paz ceremonies are held in some apachetas
and the most important in the Summit located on
the road to the Yungas. The entrance to the
ceremonial space is signaled shortly before arriving
at the lagoon that is to the right of the highway
leaving from the city.

Ningún otro deporte se reconoce y
recibe tanta atención como el
fútbol tiene, en comparación con
otros deportes en Bolivia como el
senderismo, básquetbol,
gimnasia, tenis y golf. El fútbol es

mundo, con un estimado 3,5
millones de aficionados, y es el
más popular en Bolivia.

7. Espectáculos: Shows:
El teatro principal de Sucre, el Teatro Gran
Mariscal de Ayacucho, debe su nombre al primer
presidente de Bolivia y homónimo de la ciudad,
Antonio José de Sucre, que lideró como Gran
Mariscal en la batalla de Ayacucho. El opulento
edificio fue construido según los planes
originalmente diseñados para una competencia
para diseñar la ópera Teatro allá escala de Milán.
El edificio en Sucre fue construido para el príncipe
y la princesa de La Glorieta, con el consentimiento
papal. Una segunda fase de la construcción en el
teatro se inició en la década de 1950.
Sucre’s main theatre, Teatro Gran Marshal de
Ayacucho, is named after Bolivia’s first
president and the city’s namesake Antonio José
de Sucre, who lead as Grand Marshal in the
battle of Ayacucho. The opulent building was
constructed according to plans originally
drawn up for a competition to design Milan’s
Teatro alla Scala opera house. The building in
Sucre was built for the prince and princess of
La Glorieta, with papal consent. A second
phase of construction on the theatre was
started in the 1950s.
8. Cocina típica: Typical kitchen:
Se llama sándwich de chola porque,
generalmente, las cholitas (mujeres
indígenas) lo preparan. Noche antes,
dejar remojando la pierna en agua
con sal y lavarla al día siguiente. -

10. Sitios Turísticos: Tourist sites:
Tiahuanaco fue el centro de la
civilización Tiahuanaco, una cultura
preincaica que basaba su economía en
la agricultura, la ganadería y la
arquitectura, y que abarcó los
territorios de la meseta del Collao,
entre el oeste de Bolivia, suroeste de
Perú, el norte de Argentina y el norte
de Chile, regiones desde las cuales
irradió su influencia tecnológica y
religiosa hacia otras civilizaciones
contemporáneas a ella.
Tiahuanaco:
The Christ of Concord is a colossal monumental
statue of Jesus Christ, located on the hill of San
Pedro in the city of Cochabamba, Bolivia, at an
altitude of 265 meters above the city. The statue
measures 34.20 meters high, on a pedestal of
6.24 meters, with a total height of 40.44 m. The
statue is slightly smaller than the Statue of Christ
the King Swiebodzin, (36 meters counting the
two meters of the crown) and is taller than the
statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro,
which is 30 m, which It becomes the second
largest statue of Jesus in the world.

11. Salar de Uyuni:
El salar de Uyuni es el mayor desierto
de sal continuo y alto del mundo, con
una superficie de 10 582 km (o 4085
millas cuadradas).1 Está situado a
unos 3650 msnm en el suroeste de
Bolivia, en la provincia de Daniel
Campos, en el departamento de
Potosí, dentro de la región altiplánica
de la cordillera de los Andes. El salar
de Uyuni es la mayor reserva de litio
en el mundo con el 50-70 % del litio
mundial, e igualmente cuenta con
importantes cantidades de potasio,
boro y magnesio.
Uyuni:
Uyuni is a Bolivian municipality
located to the southwest of Bolivia
in the Department of Potosí. It is
the capital of the Antonio Quijarro
Province and has a population of
20 958 in 2012.1 Being a tourist
center of the region, Uyuni is
connected to the main cities of the
country by the Joya Andina Airport
(inaugurated in 2011). During the
years 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017,
Uyuni was part of the route of the
international Dakar Rally car
competition.
12. Misiones Jesuitas de la
Chiquitania (Bolivia) La región
de la Chiquitanía debe su nombre
genérico a la provincia de
Chiquitos por los habitantes
originarios de la zona, los
Chiquitos o Chiquitanos. En ese
lugar se establecieron las
Misiones Jesuíticas a partir de la
segunda mitad del siglo XVII
(desde 1691 hasta 1760).
Misiones Jesuitas de la Chiquitania: Fuerte de Samaipata:
The Fort of Samaipata is an
archaeological site in Bolivia, located a
few kilometers from the town of
Samaipata in the department of Santa
Cruz, at an altitude of 1,950 meters
above sea level. Declared a World
Heritage Site by Unesco in 1998, it is
considered the greatest work of rock
architecture in the world. Guarani
archaeological remains have been found
in the Fort of Samaipata.

con lanas de llama, alpaca,
vicuña u oveja, que han sido
teñidos utilizando colorantes
naturales conocidos como
anilina.

19. Artesanía: Crafts:
Los textiles y la cerámica tienen
orígenes prehispánicos. En efecto, se
han encontrado finimos textiles y
cerámicas ceremoniales en las
“chullpas” (tumbas de los antiguos
indígenas andinos de hace
milenios), los “aguayos” que cubren
a las momias son textiles hechos con
lana de camélido, hilado finamente
y teñido con tintes naturales, técnica
que aún se mantiene pero el hilado
tan especial ya se ha perdido
