El idioma inglés utiliza diversas estrategias para crear
gentilicios, siendo lo más común añadir un sufijo al
nombre de la localidad. Los más usuales son:
-an or -ian (America -> American)
-ite (Vancouver -> Vancouverite) (más usado para
ciudades)
-er (London -> Londoner) (más usado para ciudades)
-ish (Spain -> Spanish) (más usado para paises)
-ese (Taiwan -> Taiwanese, Vienna -> Viennese)
-i (Iraq -> Iraqi, Bengal -> Bengali) (más usado para
lugares del Medio Oeste y el Sur de Asia)
