Aunque también existen otras posibilidades:

- Could you tell me the time please?
- Would you mind telling me the time?
- Have you got the time on you?
- You wouldn't know the time, would you?
- Do you know the time?
6. 6
Ej. Banks are open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
Es más normal decir: 'In the morning', 'In the afternoon', 'In the evening', 'At night'
7:00 a.m. = seven o'clock in the morning.
2:15 p.m. = quarter past two in the afternoon.
7:30 p.m. = half past seven in the evening
11:00 p.m. = eleven o'clock at night
o'clock = 'en punto' a quarter past... = 'y cuarto'
half past... = 'y media' a quarter to... = 'menos cuarto'
12:00 = midday
24:00 = midnight
la preposición 'to'.
It's ten to four / son las cuatro menos diez

watch -> watches (mirar) dash -> dashes (echar)
go -> goes (ir) do -> does (hacer)
fly -> flies (volar) study -> studies (estudiar)

PRESENTE PROGRESIVO:
• I am working S + to be + V + ing + C
• I am not reading S + to be + not + V + ing + C
• Are you listening to me? To be + S + V + ing + C + ?
• You are reading a sentence now. Success is the ability to go from
Usted está leyendo una oración ahora. one failure to another with no
• Someone is listening to the radio at this moment. loss of enthusiasm.
• Bill is writing a new novel.
Bill está escribiendo una nueva novela.
• My children are not playing the guitar right now.
• Is Mary studying now?
¿Mary está estudiando ahora?
REGLAS DEL GERUNDIO (ING)
11. 11
infinitivo (forma infinitiva sin to).
to listen (escuchar) -> listening (escuchando)
to hear (escuchar) -> hearing (escuchando)
to come (venir) -> coming (viniendo)
to write (escribir) -> writing (escribiendo)
to cut (cortar) -> cutting (viniendo)
to sit (sentarse) -> sitting (escribiendo)
to admit (admitir) -> admitting (admitiendo)
to begin (empezar) -> beginning (empezando)
to cancel (cancelar) -> cancelling (admitiendo)
to impel (impulsar) -> impelling (impulsando)
PASADO PROGRESIVO:
12. 12
quiere conjugar.
I was playing / Estuve jugando
I was not playing / No estuve jugando
Was I playing? / ¿Estuve jugando?
USO DEL PASADO PROGRESIVO
It was raining / Estaba lloviendo

PASADO SIMPLE:
She finished school last year -> Acabó el colegio el pasado año.
Who wrote that letter?
to listen (escuchar) -> listened
to change (cambiar) -> changed
to stop (parar) -> stopped
to travel (viajar) -> travelled
26. 26
Did you go to the party?
cuenta.
I didn´t go to the party -> No fui a la fiesta.
Those who would give up
essential liberty to purchase a

neither liberty nor safety.
