ANTIDEPRESIVOS
Son un grupo heterogéneo de compuestos con un efecto
terapéutico sobre la depresión.
Todos actúan aumentando la concentración de
neurotransmisores en la sinapsis y sus efectos pueden tardar
en aparecer entre dos y tres semanas.

Farmacos capaces de reducir la ansiedad facilitando
mecanismo inhibidores en el ámbito cerebral
Grupo de fármacos benzodiacepinas, pregabalina y las 3
moleculas hipnóticas ciclopirrolidonas, imidazopiridinas,
pirazolopirimidinas
Todas las benzodiacepinas tienen cinco efectos principales
que se usan con propósitos terapéuticos: efecto ansiolítico,
hipnótico, miorrelajante, anticonvulsivo y amnésico (deterioro
de la memoria).

Estabilizadores del estado de animo
Los estabilizadores del estado de ánimo pueden ayudar a:
• Tratar la manía y evitar la reaparición tanto de los
episodios maníacos como depresivos en personas con
trastorno bipolar.
• Tratar problemas del estado de ánimo relacionados con la
esquizofrenia, como la depresión.
• Reducir la ira, la ansiedad, la depresión, la impulsividad
(actuar sin pensar) o los intentos de autolesiones
relacionados con el trastorno límite de la personalidad.
• Los estabilizadores del estado de ánimo actúan sobre el
cerebro para ayudar con las emociones y los problemas
anímicos.
